Henlon has one of the best point guard skillsets I have seen this year in the high school season. He does a great job of manipulating the game. He court maps for his teammates and puts them in the right spot. He always passes up good for great. He did everything for Sandusky offensively in the first half. He did a great job playmaking and scoring. He has great touch and control around the rim. He has incredible stamina. He does not sit in the game and is always moving on both ends of the floor. He got 2 blocks and 4 steals. He knows how to get his hand on the ball and affect you. He is a sneaky strong and physical player. He has incredible length. He is a really good player and the leader of this BlueStreak squad.

Henlon is the go-to guy for Sandusky and a massive reason the Blue Streaks are in the final four. He is a skilled and high-level playmaker. He lets the game come to him and manipulates it in a way that he is in full control. He was a very patient player who never forced anything. He consistently passes up good shots for great. He had big-time takes to the rim late which he either scored or assisted on.

One of the most talented lead guards in Ohio’s 2025 class, Henlon is a blur on the court. Gaining interest from a handful of regional college programs (including Ashland, who was his first offer) it will be interesting to see where Henlon ends up at the end of this season. Sandusky has started the year with two tough losses but I don’t expect them to take many more the rest of the season if Henlon continues to play at a high level.

Henlon is a physical guard who impresses getting paint touches. He uses his strength to plow into defenders to get a bucket. Henlon makes a living as the foul line. He does a good job fighting through ball screens and switching. Henlon also has a quick step when going downhill.

The Sandusky guard has attracted multiple scholarship offers on the hardwood but has stayed busy this fall. After missing the first three football games of the season, Henlon has hit the ground running as the quarterback for the Blue Streaks. Last Friday night Henlon threw four first half touchdowns enroute to a 42-0 victory.

One of the quickest guards in the state, Henlon helped lead Sandusky to one of their best seasons in school history last season. Already holding an offer from Division II powerhouse Ashland, Henlon should expect to receive more interest as a senior with continued strong play.

Making the move to the Ohio Buckets has helped boost Henlon’s stock as the lightning quick point guard has had some big games on the EYCL circuit. Holding an early offer from Ashland, Henlon’s play has continued to improve year over year. I caught Henlon once with Sandusky in the winter and was impressed with his downhill slashing ability. One of the top players in all of the SBC last season, Henlon will look to continue to elevate the Blue Streaks program that has gone 22-2 and 24-2 the past two seasons. I think Henlon would be an excellent fit at a scholarship program that wants to play fast and potentially full court press similar to how Sandusky plays defensively.

Recently picking up his first offer from Ashland, Henlon continued his strong spring in Memphis. A quick guard who can get where he wants off the bounce, Henlon has done a better job playing off two feet. This has allowed Henlon to stay balanced on the court and lower his turnovers when driving to the basket. Combine this with the burst that Henlon has and a quick first step and he’s hard to stop. As a jump shooter, Henlon knocked down a couple mid-range pull-ups in the game I was at, getting to his spots with jab steps and crossovers. If Henlon continues to play how he did this weekend, Ashland won’t be the last program to offer Henlon.

Henlon is one of the best defenders I have seen play this year. He gets in your shorts and is one of the best on-ball pressure defenders I have seen. His lateral quickness and high motor allow him to be able to guard anyone. He can apply so much pressure that it causes turnovers and ruins offenses because they cannot run it how they want. He makes them work for everything. He makes their offense start from way more outside than the other team wants. Henlon can also do a little bit of it all on the offensive end. He has a good shot and makes some tough finishes. He is a real slept-on player who will be seen in front of a ton of coaches for the
Ohio Buckets
this AAU season!

Henlon was impressive against Detroit Country Day. Sandusky is a team that thrives off of defense, creating turnovers, and getting fast break points Henlon is the one that runs the offense in the half-court. He did a great job of doing this all night of the Blue Streaks. He is a short but very strong guard who can get anywhere he wants on the court. He is the leader of the Sandusky team. He showed good decision-making and court vision. He got his teammates involved but at the same time knew when to be aggressive. He showed some great on-ball pressure on the defensive end as well. He got in the opposing guards’ shorts and didn’t let them breathe. If you were loose with the ball at all, Henlon turned you over. Impressive perforce from this very underrated junior point guard.
