This list will include players who work the inside game and show who has the potential to master it and how effective they can be for their teams. Here are my top inside players for the 2026 class.
Williams is a Swiss army knife at the small forward position. He can guard the perimeter like a guard and protect the paint like a center. Williams can go up with both hands confidently and has some shifty moves to his game he likes to pull out when trying to get to the rim. At 6’7″ he can jump over the top of defenders and finishes strong at the rim. Williams is excellent at drawing contact and getting to the free-throw line.
Asprilla is a very mobile player for his size standing at 6’11” in the center position. He runs the floor like a guard and has a soft touch around the rim including a consistent post-hook shot he uses a lot. Asprilla has great hands to catch the ball in tough post-up situations and rarely gets stripped by lurking defenders. He likes to back down defenders and put a body on them to go straight up for the easy layup.
Harris is a big and strong small forward that loves to seek contact down low. He gets into position in the post like a big man and goes to a multitude of moves in the post. He is also able to just straight up back down smaller defenders to go up for easy buckets. Harris can even weave in and out of defenses with his tight handles giving him the ability to either drive in or take the pull-up midrange shot.
Higgs can move well for a 6’10” center as he can guard multiple positions. He is excellent in the post-up game as he loves to play his back to the basket and take advantage of weaker defenders. You can even run pick-and-pop or pick-and-roll plays for Higgs to get easy points for his team. He is skilled in the painted area and hardly ever misses from that area due to his soft touch around the rim.
Highlights
Teyan is an athletic rim-running power forward that will stop at nothing to get into the paint. At 6’11” Teyan can leap over defenders in the paint and can slither around them in the air to avoid strong contests. He is also great at getting to the free throw line and drawing contact when he wants to. Teyan can guard multiple positions and will crash the glass at will. He is just an overall force to be reckoned with down low.
