Last week's first NCAA Live Period of 2023 is in the rearview, and tomorrow (Friday) will see the start of another. While the transfer portal is a factor, there has still been new offers for a handful of talented 2024s from Oklahoma. Here's a recap of those offers and the upside of those prospects. Plus some other news and notes from a busy first weekend.

NEW D1 OFFERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1343195' first='Chris' last='Mason'] - Ohio and Jacksonville State

The light came on in a big way for the forward from the 918. Mason has always had one of the biggest ceilings, but has been an up and down performer. He was dominant in a 25 point performance against a quality Texas squad and reportedly his motor stayed hot throughout the weekend. His combination of size, quickness and power gives him the upside to be one of the best prospects in the state. More big tests await Mason this weekend, and if he continues to be consistent with this improved intensity, the offers should continue to pick up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1332074' first='Dylan' last='Warlick'] - Cal Poly

The Edmond North Husky continued his productive ways in Atlanta, earning an offer from Cal Poly and interest from Indiana State, Loyola Chicago, Davison and more programs across the country. Warlick averaged double figures for the four games, including shooting an outstanding 16-20 at the charity stripe. He had a 23 point and 8 rebound performance against Pro Skills. Proving that once again no matter the competition level, "Wolverine" always finds a way to produce.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367214' first='Luke' last='Gray'] - Cal Poly

Gray's best performance of the weekend came against an athletic Team Thad squad. He got out in transition for slams and proved why he's legitimate threat from beyond the arc. Gray is very adapt at screening on the ball then "popping out" where he's almost automatic when left open from three. Cal Poly joins Liberty as the two programs to offer the stretch forward, who should become a priority for more programs due to his shooting, rebounding and defensive capabilities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367217' first='Dayton' last='Forsythe'] - Indiana State

Along with this week's offer from the Sycamores (shout out Larry Bird), the floor general also picked up an offer from New Mexico State's new staff this month. This comes on the heels of a breakout winter where he has grabbed offers far and wide, from Paul Mills now at Wichita State, to Wake Forrest, to Oklahoma, to Oklahoma State and many more spanning the country. Forsythe has his picks of schools, and more eyes will be on him in Phoenix this weekend.

The momentum continues to grow for tough 2024 wing [player_tooltip player_id='1367226' first='Darian' last='Grant']. After a great playoff run with Moore, Grant is showing his versatile nature while teaming up with [player_tooltip player_id='1343195' first='Chris' last='Mason'] and others with the Tulsa Hawks. The Moore Lion picked up an offer from Harding University, a D2 program in Arkansas. According to reports from the event, this was earned because of his efforts on the defensive side ball, showing that there is still room for "role players" to thrive even in the highlight focused social media modern culture. Editors note: since they article was published, Grant picked up a D1 offer from Troy

The Tulsa Hale scoring specialist had a few big performances in Phoenix with Crab5 on the UA Rise. He broke the 30 point mark in one contest (7-10 of three). While in another contest, he won the game with clutch shooting at the line. Skilled and explosive scoring like [player_tooltip player_id='1482830' first='Kabron' last='Lewis']' often translates to the next level.

Playing with ProSkills in Atlanta on the EYBL circuit, [player_tooltip player_id='1367220' first='Ethan' last='Wilkerson'] opened the event with an impressive 19 point, 8 rebound performance against a quality squad from Wisconsin. Based on the highlights of that contest, he was active on the offensive glass, physical finishing and even hitting jumpers.

In Atlanta, it wasn't the best shooting performance for one of Oklahoma's top 2024 shooters. But according to sources, [player_tooltip player_id='1343196' first='Cedric' last='Dixon'] had it hooked up on the defensive end, which is a big improvement from one of his noted areas of improvement. This winter, the Union Redhawk picked up an offer from Omaha, at some point this spring the shots will start falling for Dixon. That combined with an improved all around game, should make him a priority for more programs.
