Phenom Hoops Live – Games to Watch

Check out some of the players and teams I'm most excited to watch below.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2078512' first='NC' last='Spartans'] Liles vs. [program_tooltip program_id='2078525' first='Team' last='Push'] NC 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2078525' first='Team' last='Push'] has had a very strong live period so far, and their opening matchup against [program_tooltip program_id='2078512' first='NC' last='Spartans'] Liles provides a lot of intrigue. [player_tooltip player_id='1076371' first='Amari' last='Latham'] is the name to know for [program_tooltip program_id='2078525' first='Team' last='Push'], after a huge weekend where he showed he was one of the most dominant scorers on the Phenom circuit. 6'0 <strong>Brooks Allred</strong> is a steady backcourt presence that will help 6'6 [player_tooltip player_id='854913' first='Jakel' last='Powell'] is going to be an unsigned senior wing that attracts college interest as well. On the other hand, Liles has some great prospects on his team, like 6'9 W/F [player_tooltip player_id='1731146' first='Cal' last='Barrett'], a long springy stretch big, and 6'7 F <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1976851' first='Cooper' last='Jackson']</strong>, who is one of the most physical guys I've seen in his class so far, roaming the paint. 6'5 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1273282' first='Camden' last='Edmonds'] also had an incredible weekend in Spartanburg, averaging over 25 PPG and showing his ability to fill it up. This will be one of the best games of the morning, and I'm excited to catch it in the gym this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>BSA Supreme vs. [program_tooltip program_id='2078546' first='Team' last='Trezz'] Edwards</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Later on after our first featured matchup will be another great run between BSA Supreme and [program_tooltip program_id='2078546' first='Team' last='Trezz'] Edwards. [player_tooltip player_id='1158774' first='Carson' last='Daniel'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1154633' first='Chase' last='Daniel'] have been instrumental in BSA's success so far as expected, but there have been other names that were good in high school that have jumped off the page as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1076364' first='Peter' last='Moye'] is a natural born scorer that will play on the wing, and [player_tooltip player_id='1591916' first='Tyler' last='Showalter'] hits big time threes when his team needs it. Critical to BSA's development will be the emergence of [player_tooltip player_id='1743939' first='Desmond' last='Kent Jr']., a long, thin undersized big that has elite explosiveness. For [program_tooltip program_id='2078546' first='Team' last='Trezz'], the backcourt mates of <strong>Tyler Barnes</strong> and [player_tooltip player_id='1046006' first='Jordan' last='Vick'] will pour it in all weekend, as they both are so quick and shifty that getting to their spots looks easy. [player_tooltip player_id='1220103' first='David' last='Ellis II'] is the team's big, and his verticality and physicality will make him a tough cover on the glass and above the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='1154635' first='Randall' last='King'] and <strong>Nik Edwards</strong> will also become important pieces as guard options with their leadership and production as well. This should be another great matchup like it was last year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2078529' first='Strong' last='Center'] 2024 Cary/HS vs. [program_tooltip program_id='2078471' first='Carolina' last='Riptide'] 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This might be a more underrated matchup than the other two listed, but I'm a big fan of what both of these squads bring to the table. [program_tooltip program_id='2078529' first='Strong' last='Center'] has some good Wake County talent in guys like point guard <strong>Tye Cain</strong> and bigs <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2085686' first='Logan' last='Ware']</strong> and <strong>Obata Okafor</strong>. For [program_tooltip program_id='2078471' first='Carolina' last='Riptide'], I've been most impressed with big wing [player_tooltip player_id='1892438' first='Jackson' last='Fannon'] when I've watched them play, but guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1569217' first='Ty' last='Sanders'] and <strong>Ben Cipriano</strong> will also bring scoring pop and size to the table. I love how [program_tooltip program_id='2078471' first='Carolina' last='Riptide'] has put together a good group of size and skill, but I think [program_tooltip program_id='2078529' first='Strong' last='Center'] will bring some physicality and intensity that causes this to become a tough battle. We will see how it goes this weekend, but I think this is an underrated matchup to keep an eye on. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
