Dallas Skinner
Skinner’s ability to hit tough and contested and jumpers was second to none on Saturday. At 6-3, the versatile guards elevation on his release allows him to knock down even the most difficult of shots from around the guard. When he’s not knocking down even the most contested shots, Skinner’s playmaking allows him to be a solid playmaker as well, hitting multiple teammates in stride for easy assists.
Possessing a strong 6-7 frame, Hosten was able to play straight bully-ball for most of the day Saturday. With the ability to post-up his matchup, or take it on the deck and take it himself to the rack, it was nearly impossible to stop the rising senior. Oftentimes, all the defense could do was hope to foul Hosten, which didn’t fare well with his ability to knock down free throws at a high percentage.
Highlights
A true difference-maker by every form of the imagination, there isn’t much you can do to stop Freeman with the ball in his hands. With the ability to score from all three levels off the dribble or from the catch and shoot, the senior guard is the definition of a walking bucket and proved it. Freeman can also get downhill in a hurry with his blistering speed and great handle.
A true two-way player, Brown really showed off the offensive side of his game throughout Saturday. A rising senior who averaged 20 points during his junior season for Bolles, Brown plays with an extremely smooth style of play on the offensive end with the ability to create his own offense in a variety of ways.
Cayden King
Cayden King
An extremely crafty point guard, King was a big stock riser for me following Saturday. As a rising senior, King is as elusive as they come with the ball in his hands, mixing it up with either a behind-the-back to crossover combo or his lethal spin move into a tough lay-up. From the outside, King also has a knockdown jumper that will fall no matter how tight the defense is.
