Continue ReadingTucker had a huge year at Mt. Pisgah, leading them to the State Championship game while posting some eye-opening scoring numbers. He’s a shifty ball-handler with a quick twitch that allows him to blow past defenders. Around the rim, Tucker is an acrobatic finisher and has nice some really nice touch on his floater as well. The volume scorer from Mt. Pisgah could be a popular name during the April live periods.
The move to Milton ultimately proved beneficial for Dixon as he was able to prove himself and be the guy playing against top level competition. Dixon has a knack for scoring and can do some from all three levels. He’s tough shot maker that can pull up in a split second and shoots it really well off the dribble. Early in the year, he went for 41 points against Pebblebrook and had several other big scoring outputs throughout the season.
Lawrence Sanford was one of the brightest young stars to emerge in this year’s playoffs, especially after a semi-final win over Norcross in which Sanford stole the show. He has an artful way of breaking down defenders and blowing past them. Silky smooth in transition and has some intriguing bounce too. Sanford can play either guard position effectively but should have an opportunity to show more of what he can do as a true point guard this spring with Wood Elite.
Highlights
Samuel Shoptaw Samuel Shoptaw 6’2″ | PG Windermere Prep | 2025 State FL is a true floor general, able to facilitate offense with poise while creating shots for himself or others. Shoptaw’s court vision is something to marvel at and he’s a playmaker in every sense of the word. He’s also a great shooter, consistently knocking down threes and pull-up jumpers. South Alabama already offered Shoptaw last summer and many others should enter the picture this time around.
Reynolds Escher Reynolds Escher 6’0″ | PG St. Francis | 2025 State GA pretty much ran the show this year at St. Francis and opened a lot of eyes in the process. He earned All-Region honors in a loaded Region 6-1A, averaging 17 ppg and 7 rpg on the year. Escher can do a little bit of everything and plays with toughness that you love to see from a point guard. All signs point to Escher being back with AOT this spring where he should have an opportunity to raise his stock even more.
