Prep Hoops Oklahoma had wall to wall coverage of the first round as team punched their tickets to the semifinals on Friday. Get caught up on all of the action from Wednesday's quarterfinal games.

HOLLAND HALL 51, EL RENO 36

Holland Hall advanced to the semifinals with a 51-36 win over El Reno to start the 5A quarterfinals on Wednesday afternoon. The Dutch would outscore the Indians 24-6 in the second and third quarters, including a 12-0 third quarter to run away with the quarterfinal victory. Both teams went back and forth throughout the first eight minutes but the Indians going ice cold from the field, combined with turnovers in those two quarters put them in a hole that they could not overcome heading into the final frame.

The Dutch had three players finish in double figures but it was senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1211248' first='Nate' last='Mullendore'] that set the tone for Holland Hall with a game-high 13 points and 10 rebounds as he dominated the paint. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1068564' first='Jadon' last='Cool'] would add 12 points and junior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='1295700' first='Carter' last='Benton'] added 10 points and got off to a hot start in the first quarter. The Indians were led by sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='1391434' first='Carter' last='Roman Nose'], who finished with 11 points for the Indians. The Dutch, who were moved up to Class 5A from 4A just two months ago earned a big state tourney win and now shift their focus to 5A powerhouse Carl Albert.

CARL ALBERT 62, TAHLEQUAH 50

Carl Albert ended Tahlequah's magical playoff run in the quarterfinals on Wednesday evening with a 62-50 win over the Tigers. The Titans took advantage of 22 Tahlequah turnovers plus red hot shooting from [player_tooltip player_id='1807984' first='Ryan' last='Reynolds'] to knock off the Tigers and punch their ticket to the semifinals. Reynolds would finish with a game-high 22 points and went 6-11 from beyond the arc. He could not miss in the first quarter, going 4-4 from deep as the Titans built a 16-12 lead. They would extend that lead in the second quarter, outscoring the Tigers 19-10 in the second period.

Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1367219' first='Quincy' last='Hopkins'] started heating up in the second quarter as he would score 13 of his 15 points before halftime. And once Hopkins started making baskets, he wasn't going to cool off. The Titans would build a lead and put it on cruise control in the second half. Junior big man [player_tooltip player_id='1367218' first='Jayden' last='Mott'] would add a few exclamation dunks in the fourth quarter to punctuate the Titan win. He finished with 11 points in the win. Tahlequah was led by their senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1495342' first='Hayden' last='Smith'], who went out swinging with 19 points and 17 rebounds for the Tigers. The Titans move on to face Holland Hall in Friday's semifinal at 4:30PM.

DEL CITY 49, EDISON 40

Del City opened up their state tournament run with a comfortable 49-40 win over Edison on Wednesday night. In a battle of Eagles, it was the Eagles from Del City that would come out on top. The Eagles from Edison would make runs at Del City throughout the second half but Del City would respond each time. Senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1357063' first='Percy' last='Green'] would lead his team in scoring with 15 points in the win. McDonalds All American [player_tooltip player_id='1068562' first='Brandon' last='Garrison'] would add 8 and had 14 rebounds as he dominated the paint.

Edison's shooting from beyond the arc just was not falling on Wednesday night. The Eagles would go 4-17 from beyond the arc and they could never get into a rhythm on the offensive end of the floor. Every time Edison would get within striking distance of Del City, the Eagles would respond immediately and bump that lead back up to keep Edison out of reach. Del City has punched their ticket to the semifinals on Friday evening at 7:30 where they'll face Memorial in a rematch of last year's state championship game

MEMORIAL 70, SOUTHEAST 45

Defending champion Memorial made quite the statement in our last quarterfinal game of the evening as they would knock off Southeast 70-45 in a rematch of last year's semifinal round. They'll get another rematch on Friday now as they face Del City in a rematch of last year's state championship game. The Chargers were led by their senior [player_tooltip player_id='967378' first='Seth' last='Pratt'], who had one of the more impressive performances of Wednesday's games with a game-high 26 points and he also grabbed ten rebounds and dished out five assists.

The Chargers led 26-19 at halftime and then they hit another gear that left the Spartans in the dust in the third quarter. Memorial would outscore Southeast 30-8 in the third quarter to put the Spartans in a hole that they were not going to be able to overcome. In addition to Pratt finishing with 26 points, they also had three other players finish in double figures and did a great job on the defensive side of the floor, limiting Southeast and their dangerous backcourt. The Chargers now turn their attention to a Del City team that will be ready for the rematch of last year's championship game.
