went off on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 5 assists in the win. Pratt has been known as a shooter for years for the Chargers but on Wednesday, he was much more than that. He still went 5-7 from beyond the arc but he was driving and finishing at the rim despite receiving plenty of contact. Pratt’s performance boosted the Chargers to outscore Southeast 30-8 in the third quarter alone as the defending champs made quite the statement that they’re ready to repeat.

showed off the great shooting ability that helped him receive college interest all season long, but also showed the finishing ability of getting to the rim and finishing through contact. To start off the game, he had five points in the first quarter. The third quarter for him was big, because he went on a rampage with 17 points in the quarter. Part of this was him showing his dominance by scoring 11 straight points. He led the game in scoring and did not play the last few minutes of the game, because of his team being ahead by so much. This is a player that has increased his scoring every year in high school, with him averaging 15.1 points per game this season. That average has increased even further in the playoffs, as he is averaging over 20 points per game, with games over: 21 points, 18 points, and 22 points. What is impressive about this is that his team dominated so much that he didn’t play most of the fourth quarters, if any. That 22 points was against the fifth ranked team in the state. Pratt’s impact goes beyond his scoring, as he attacks the glass ruthlessly, grabbing several rebounds. This has happened all season, with him averaging 6.1 rebounds per game. He is able to playmake, as he had a couple of assist to

and some to other teammates in this one. Lastly, he gives 100% effort on the defensive end. He was deflecting balls out of bounds, clamping up on the perimeter, and coming up with steals. This is evident when you look at his steals average for the season, which is 1.5 steals per game. His impact on both ends of the court is a key piece as to why Tulsa Memorial finished as the #1 team in 5A basketball in Oklahoma.

Pratt started the game off hot by hitting the first five points to get the chargers going. He continued to make hustle plays throughout the first half and although he only had an additional three-pointer to end the first half his movement without the basketball allowed his teammates to get opportunities offensively. Throughout the game, Pratt would score in bunches at a time and it seemed like it always came at the perfect time when a memorial was needed. He ended the game being the leading scorer for the memorial chargers.

put on a show, firing on all cylinders from the start. He hit one three after another, knocking down four of them in the first half. At halftime, he had outscored the other team by himself, as he had 14 points. He continued to chase the three point record for most threes in a career at Tulsa Memorial, finishing the game with five three pointers and 21 points overall. He showed that he can knock down contested shots, off-the-dribble shots, and open shots from everywhere on the perimeter. There was more to his offensive game than just scoring the ball, as he showed the ability to act as a playmaker. One play, he drove the gap to break down the defense, then kicked to an open teammate in the corner. His impact went way beyond his significant scoring impact, as he had a near double-double at halftime with points and rebounds. He finished with the double-double and made an impact on the defensive end, playing great defense. I recorded four steals for him. His team was ahead by so much that he barely played the fourth quarter. It was an impressive shooting display and all-around performance in this one. He showed why he is the #18 ranked senior in the state.

. The NSU commit has been a mainstay in the Memorial lineup since his sophomore season and he’s known around the state as one of the best shooters from beyond the arc. This season, Pratt is shooting at a 43% rate from the perimeter and the duo of Pratt and Ingram is one of the best in Class 5A. Like Ingram, Pratt played a specific role last season and has seen his role this year blossom into more of a scorer and an overall playmaker for the Memorial offense. Pratt is looking to pick up where he left off in December when it comes to scoring. He hasn’t been as productive so far in January as we saw from him in December and the Chargers are going to need that to change as they look to lock up the top overall seed on the east side in Class 5A.

Pratt was on fire in the first half of the game ending with 13 points and shooting 5 – 5 from the field. The work that Pratt did in the first half, allowed his teammates to get opportunities because the defense keyed in on him. He was equally deadly from a distance as he was from mid-range and what I saw new from him was his ability to not settle for being a catch-and-shot guy. He showed a few times his ability to take somebody off the dribble and get to the basket or create for himself.

One of the best shooters in the state, Pratt has been bombing threes since he was a freshman for the 5A powerhouse. This year he should break 200 three pointers for his career and shoot his way into the 1k point club. And if his opening heroics to force overtime against Tulsa Hale were any indication, he’ll be looking to make his mark in the Chargers’ record books in style, while also chasing a second Gold Ball.

is the most experienced Memorial Charger coming back this season. Allison believes that when it’s all said and done, Pratt will have logged the most minutes of any player since he took over nearly a decade ago. And in the win on Thursday night, Pratt did what he does best. Shoot. His three-pointer as time expired sent the game into overtime. Pratt finished with an impressive stat line of 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. But when it came down to the final seconds and with Memorial down 60-57, there was no doubt that Pratt was going to get the ball. He’s one of the best shooters from the perimeter in the state so not only would he get the ball, but he delivered. Now, moving forward, Pratt and the Chargers will look to continue building chemistry following a game in November that felt a lot like March.

, who will be a three-year starter for the Chargers this season, which is pretty rare when you talk about Memorial basketball. Pratt is known as one of the best shooters in the state and it’s pretty easy to see why when you look at the numbers. Pratt is a career 53% shooter from beyond the arc and he has averaged double figures in each of the last two seasons. But Pratt has also been on a team with Frierson and big man Bradyn Hubbard, so his role will be significantly different this season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Pratt leading the team in scoring and average north of 20 points per game this season.

in the top ten. And similar to Ingram, we’re really looking forward to seeing what Pratt’s role will be within the Memorial offense this season. As defending champs, all eyes will be on the Chargers as the expectations will remain the same for them to contend for the gold ball. Pratt has been primarily known as a shooter for the last two seasons but this year, Pratt will have to have more of a role within the offense now that point guard Tyreese Frierson has graduated. Pratt has been one of the top shooters over the last few years but adding other elements to his game will be critical in order for the Chargers to defend their title and contend with Del City this winter.
