. Replacing a player like Ty Frierson, who was arguably the most impactful player in the state last season is no easy task but Collins has done a really good job. Collins plays the role of facilitator on this Memorial team as he has a few options around him to score the ball. Running the show on offense and then playing on the opponent’s best guard has been what was asked of Collins this season and he’s done a good job in that role. He’s also shown at times this season that he can score if the offense for Memorial is struggling as a whole. In terms of being a prospect, Collins is a 2023 point guard that feels like his best basketball is still ahead of him. As he continues to improve, the Chargers will benefit down the stretch.

who finished with a team-high 14 points and he was the only Charger that finished in double figures. Collins also had three steals on the afternoon and led a Memorial defense that really put the clamps on Roff in the second half. Collins would also go 4-6 from the floor and was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line as the Chargers moved on. Coming into the tournament, most of the attention surrounding the Chargers was on seniors

Collins is a left-handed guy that is very unorthodox. He knows how to control the game and is a great leader on the floor. When going to the whole he has no issues accepting contact and being able to finish. At one point in time, Noah went on a run and he was able to settle the team down and get a play set up to get a bucket for one of his shooters. His consistent basketball IQ is something that can be beneficial at the next level.

is one of the more intriguing players that we want to check out this season in Class 5A and in Oklahoma overall. Collins got plenty of playing time last season, and as a sophomore as well. But this year, Collins will be stepping into a new role and into some pretty big shoes as he looks to replace Ty Frierson as Memorial’s point guard this winter. Collins doesn’t have to be what Frierson was for the Chargers last year but it will be interesting to see how he looks in the new role and there’s no doubt that he has some talented players around him. Collins could end up being a breakout player for the Chargers this winter but we want to see it first.
