Iceland native Sean Birmingham Sean Birmingham 6’8″ | CG Concord Academy | 2024 State #215 Nation NC debuts in the 2024 rankings at the No. 14 spot. He’s a Top 15 talent in the state out of Cannon School that’s 6-foot-8 and capable of making things happen on the wing and in the backcourt. He uses his size to create mismatch problems for opposing defenders and can knock down shots on the perimeter off the bounce. He’ll be running with Team Curry this grassroots season, college coaches will want to get a look at him.

Kameron Taylor Kameron Taylor 6’7″ | SF Carmel Christian | 2024 State NC is another 2024 prospect making his debut inside the Top 30 in the state out of Olympic High at No. 26. He led the Trojans to quite the 2022-23 campaign with a 23-5 record and 10-3 record in the Southern Meck Conference, putting up 17.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.0 bpg while shooting 58 percent from the field on the season. He’s a wiry prospect at 6-foot-5 that uses his length to get to his spots on the floor and make things. He’s a prospect on Team United’s EYBL squad to keep eyes on this grassroots cycle.
Isaiah Sutherland Isaiah Sutherland 6’8″ | C United Faith Christian Academy | 2024 State NC is really starting to come into his own in the United Faith Christian Academy rotation. He was quite the anchor on defense as UFCA finished 31-3 on the season and 8-0 in conference action, producing 6.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 2.1 bpg for the Falcons. He’s starting to figure out how to use his length to make an impact when he’s on the floor at 6-foot-9., He’ll be one to watch for Team CP3 on the EYBL scene this grassroots season.
Leslie Minter Jr Leslie Minter Jr 6’5″ | SF Wilson Prep | 2024 State NC . was a pivotal piece in the Wilson Prep Tigers’ run to the NCHSAA 1A State crown. He led the Tigers in 2022-23 with 14.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 1.4 bpg while making a case for top shooter in the state. He shot 36 percent from 3-point range while knocking down a team-high 92 3-pointers as a junior. He’ll be a name to keep eyes on this summer with Team Push NC NC.
JD Daniels JD Daniels 6’3″ | SF Farmville Central | 2024 State NC (JD) was quite the dispensable option alongside Jah Short Jah Short 6’4″ | CG Farmville Central | 2023 State NC in the Farmville Central rotation in 2022-23. He’s a 6-foot-3 prospect that plays with a ton of energy on the glass and scoring front for the 2A State champions. He filled up the stat sheet in the Jaguars’ fourth state title in the last five years with 14 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three blocks and won the Most Outstanding Player award in the NCHSAA 2A Championship game. He had 23 points in their Region Finals victory over Goldsboro.
Makoi Mabor Makoi Mabor 6’11” | C Gaston Christian | 2024 State NC is another big man to get to know at Gaston Christian School. The 6-foot-11 big man showed flashes of his brilliance on the interior and around the rim this season as the Eagles went 23-10 and 12-2 in the NCISAA Metrolina Conference. He averaged 12.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 2.8 bpg as a two-way presence on the interior that’s starting to find his way in the post. He’s a name for DI and DII programs in the region to get to know this grassroots cycle.
Quay Watson Quay Watson 6’0″ | CG Hopewell | 2024 State NC is one of the more underappreciated guards in the 704 area at Hopewell High that led them in a big way in 2022-23. He produced 23.7 ppg, 4.5 apg, 4.0 rpg and 2.7 spg while shooting 56 percent from the field and 47 percent from 3-point land in his junior season. He’s a lead guard that makes sound decisions with the ball in his hands and can shoot the ball at an efficient clip. He’ll be a name in the 2024 class to keep an eye on this grassroots season with Team United.
