Although he didn’t pick up a high number of offers, his stock was clearly on the rise after the state championship game where his team was able to pull off the victory. He recently announced that he will be attending Elizabeth City State University and will be a player that can make an early impact in the CIAA.

When one is having a rough outing from the field, one can help his team to victory in other ways. That was the case for Minter this past Friday in the 1A state championship game between Wilson Prep and Corvian Community. Minter lifted his Tigers with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double to help his team come from behind to stun the Cardinals by a final of 65-63. Where Minter really came up big was at the free throw line. Fouling Minter was a trouble spot for Corvian Community as he made six of his seven attempts from the charity stripe – including the final three with 0.6 remaining on the clock. Oh, and college coaches – two words. Unsigned. Senior. Minter did recently land an offer from Cleveland Community College.

Minter is one of the guys on this list with real positional size for the next level, sporting a 6’5 frame to go with his elite shooting ability. Bouncy too so his game is not one dimensional in terms of only shooting outside jumpers. Has a really smooth stroke that allows him to be consistent in his release, especially in time and space. Would be a really good late pickup for a D2 or JuCo, and has real potential to play at the D1 level if he rounds out his game.

Minter had arguably his best game on the young season shooting the ball as he poured in 28 points to lead the Tigers offense. He was efficient in going 3-of-6 on the perimeter and shot 9-of-21 from the overall field while also racking up four rebounds and three assists. He remains a target for DIII and JUCO programs in the region to get eyes on.

Minter is another underrated sharpshooter with more to prove in the 2024 class as an unsigned senior prospect. He knocked down 92 3-pointers to the tune of 14.0 PPG this past season at Wilson Prep this season. He knocked down 3-pointers at a clip of 36 percent while making 2.8 per contest. Look for his production to grow as he looks to close things out with another state title for the Tigers.

Minter has been a pretty known commodity at state level for a while, but he did what he did well in front of college coaches and should have more interest coming soon. He’s long, athletic and bouncy which is always going to make him a threat in traffic and transition. However, what he does well is making sure his offensive game is well-rounded, as he’s a big time shot taker and maker. He knocks down jumpers all over the floor, including some really difficult pull ups. His defensive game translates well too, using his tools and frame to cause issues for opposing players to get their shots off easily. He’s a name that will probably end up D2 but has some serious potential at that level.

The Tigers will look to him to provide some offensive production in their matchup with ERHS and he has shown his ability to put up plenty of buckets in a small amount of time during various parts of the season. He has a long wingspan, can score the ball from multiple levels and is a very intriguing prospect for college programs.
