Gorman Surrvies A Scare - 5A Parity has been the overriding theme of the season. That was never more evident than by the first round. Perineal power Bishop Gorman trailed by 4 at the half, and by as many as 9 going into the 4th. "Desert Pines gave us all we could handle. We knew it would be tough, Coach Dame Harris did a great job this year with this team" - Gorman HC Grant Rice They would rally, behind a 23-9 fourth quarter to escape with the victory. The Jags, who had been competitive all season, got double-digit efforts from [player_tooltip player_id='986961' first='Gregory' last='Burrell'], [player_tooltip player_id='986971' first='Prince' last='Davis'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1006242' first='Evan' last='Tatum'].
Reno Continues To Roll - We know very little about the Huskies except that they have pounded seemingly everyone. They picked up their 10th straight win Tuesday night, with a 64-29 victory over Reed. They're led by one of the top trios in the state, in [player_tooltip player_id='1790923' first='Harvey' last='Smerdon'], [player_tooltip player_id='1800914' first='Noah' last='Hackbusch'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1800915' first='Aiden' last='Casey'].
Sliverado's Remarkable Run - The Skyhawks didn't even have a coach until after the start of the school year, now they sit one win away from the 4A Final Four. They are scrappy, undersized, and underrated, and go against a Chap squad with the most dominant player in 4A in 6'7 sophomore forward, [player_tooltip player_id='1338783' first='Qualib' last='Ghallab']. The Skyhawks as always are a fast but undersized bunch, they are lead by the super sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1281194' first='Julius' last='Robinson'], and senior sniper [player_tooltip player_id='1105245' first='Kollin' last='Ngo'].
