This was one of the best performances that I saw from Bey. He was his normal stalwart self on the defensive end, however I thought it was his offense that showed the most improvment. Bey was effective when given the opportunity to play in 1 v 1 situations, and he used his R&J ability to finish plays with thunderous dunks. His size, pedigree and production probably earned him some additional looks this week.

The thing I like most about Bey, is that you know exactly what you’re getting with him. The 6’7 forward is one of the best defenders in the state, with the ability to defend all 5 positions. It was not uncommon in the workout to have him defending points or bigs His activity, is evident and is a huge part of his effectiveness on the defensive end.

Bey checks a lot of boxes. He fits the mold of the prototypical college wing, and should be immediately able to step in and defend that position. His celing is intriguing for these reasons. He has terrific bloodlines and because of the success of other family members it’s only natural for coaches to take that into account when projecting Bey’s ceilings. He has a valuable signature skill as, they say you are what you can guard, and Bey guards every position at the high school level. His defensive versatility is a skill that is in high demand at the next level.
