We talk a lot about the energy and motor Burrell plays with. What isn’t discussed enough is his skill. The shooting guard has the ability to get to the bucket in transition and has the ability to knock down shots in catch and shoot situations.

On the basketball court he is the top high energy, effort player in the state, and a fierce competitor. He moves up a couple notches in the rankings.

Hard not to root for a guy like Burrell. He brings it every time he steps on the floor, and impacts games with his energy and effort. As the season went on, he impacted games with his production, including showing improved 3 point shooting. He’s played with numerous of teams throughout this AAU career so I’m excited to see who he runs for this summer.

You could almost always pencil in Burrell as a high motor guy and despite the loss, he did nothing to change that eval. Whether it was driving downhill or providing tough, hard nosed on the ball defense, the junior guard played with a consistent motor, impacting the game with his ability to win in traffic rebounds, and 50/50 balls.

Greg Burrell had a strong all-around performance on Saturday for Desert Pines (NV) in a 71-48 win over Mayfair. Burrell finished the game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Greg is built well for a guard and this is evident in his effectiveness on the glass (6 rebounds) but also in the way he is able to absorb and play through contact on his way to the rim. Would like to see him develop more confidence in his jump shot as he only attempted one three in this game.
