has been a star on the football field lately, but he’s bound to make a big impact once he’s back on the court. He is one of the more hard nosed players out there and he is a high level competitor. On offense, he scores by attacking the basket and he draws contact at a high rate.

made his presence felt in the paint on both ends of the court in Arizona. He looked to collect rebounds by anticipating where the ball was going to be and got physical when he needed to. Taylor also leveraged his size and strength to score around the rim.

outcompetes his opponents on a regular basis. Anytime that he is in the game, he is going 110%. Although the man that he is guarding was typically older and bigger than him this season, he still played assertive and racked up points and rebounds. The hyper athletic freshman also has Division I offers in football from UNLV, Washington and Sacramento State.

didn’t look like a freshman in the Jaguars matchup with Liberty. He played fearless, and battled on both offense and defense for rebounds. Despite the Liberty forwards having a height advantage over him, he came down with 11 boards. On offense, Taylor gained some good position on the inside and drew contact all game long.

worked the middle of the court on offense and his teammates fed him the rock. From there Taylor made some explosive moves to lay the ball up and he also drew contact in the process. On defense, he did his best did limit Liberty’s interior scoring but he had his hands full guarding

outworked his opponents in the paint and scored on a number of difficult shots for Desert Pines. He also high pointed a ton of rebounds and finished the night with a double-double. More importantly, the Jaguars got the win and his late offense really did make the difference in the OT thriller.

is a small forward that plays with some physicality and aggression when looking to score or rebound. He’s the type of player that often just wants it more. His top skills on defense are likely locking up his guy and swatting shots. I’m also a fan of the way he competes, he has a way of getting under his opponents skin and throwing them off their game.

Taylor is the type of guy that you want on your team, instead of having to go up against him. His size and power make him tough to contain on offense. He also uses his frame wisely when going up for rebounds. If he can get more consistent with his mid-range game, he’ll be an even tougher guard. His defense is stout and I like the intensity that he brings to the table as well.
