Garfield – Statement win – Lincoln – New look

He is a load in the post for Garfield and led them with 23 points on 9-14 shooting in the win over Beach. Not many can match up with his size and strength in the post. He has good footwork and finishes well around the basket. This is a Garfield team that should be a favorite in Class 3A right now. He was tough in the post in the win.. Garfield won this one going away and much because of their inside play. He had 12 points and let’s not forget about Jaylin Stewart Jaylin Stewart 6'7″ | SG Garfield | 2023 State #71 Nation WA (8 points) the state’s #1 ranked player. That makes for the toughest inside trio in the state and they have their loaded Garfield team eying another state title.

The junior guard is making a name for himself at Rainier Beach. Another team with a different look. He’s taken on a big role and has been excellent thus far in the season. The skilled guard can score from all levels and is athletic. He and Miles Gurske Miles Gurske 6'0″ | PG Rainier Beach | 2023 State WA , another transfer from Timberline make for a tough backcourt. Although they lost to Garfield, Rainier Beach has weapons. Gurske is a top-notch guard in the Metro league and state. Both of these two have stepped up and will look to lead their team to a strong finish and post-season success.

The senior transfer from Washington HS has given the new-look Lincoln team a huge boost. He is a monster on the boards and is getting 20 points a game to go with 12 rebounds averaging a double-double. He is always around the ball and capitalizes on getting easy buckets through hard work in the paint. He can also step out with a smooth jumper from mid-range. He has a soft shooting touch and is like a pogo stick with his rebounding and putbacks. Lincoln is a new-look team with transfer guards Isaiah Cunningham Isaiah Cunningham 6'4″ | SG O'Dea | 2025 State WA (12ppg) and Zion Norman Zion Norman 5'9″ | PG Lincoln | 2026 NV making it three new faces. Senior leader Gabarri Johnson Gabarri Johnson 5'11″ | CG Lincoln | 2023 State WA (17ppg) and post Wyatt Ulsh Wyatt Ulsh 6'6″ | PF Lincoln | 2024 State WA are also playing well.
