Here’s a look at the top power forwards and posts in the class outside of the top ten overall players.
Close is an old school post player who knows how to play with his back to the basket. Bryten plays with a great motor which helps him to make up for being a little less athletic than other centers. According to his high school coaches, Bryten is a tireless worker so we should anticipate him to keep getting better.
Kendall averaged 19 points per game as an 8th grader last season and he showed all aspects of his game at our freshman camp last month. Phillips has a good mid range game and a nice shot and he plays hard. Able to score on the offensive glass, Phillips has a well rounded game but will need to grow or move to more of a wing or guard.
Highlights
Jackson is a high potential player that plays really hard and looks like he has more inches to grow before he’s done. Klope will be a starter for McCracken this season and will be counted on to make an early impact at the 5 spot as a freshman.
Bell is another piece to the loaded 2026 class at Saint Xavier and like his teammates, Ethan is more likely to have long term impact for the Tigers than to be heard from much at the varsity level this season. Bell’s frame looks like he’s still growing and I won’t be surprised if he reaches 6’6 or taller in the future. With that potential, he could be a highly ranked kid down the line.
Davidson, like Bell, is a player who could zoom up the rankings in due time. Reece is already bigger than his older brother and should be as athletic once his growth stops. Reece’s coach has compared him to North Florida star Carter Hendricksen at the same age with his build and skill level. If Reece hits that level, North Laurel will have another star on their hands.
