Kentucky Freshman Showcase: Team 1 Standouts

Williams liked the spin move on his drives and also attacked on the baseline to try and get to the rim. Despite being a little undersized, Owens wanted to create whenever the ball was in his hands and he usually made a play. Ignatow has a quick release and while he liked shooting from the corners, he also showed the ability to hit shots from a few feet behind the line as well. Making a handful of 3-pointers from all over the court, Hornback was showcasing his ability to stretch the floor for his team. Hornback also made simple reads as a passer and used his ball handling ability to get to the rim. Abney knows what type of player he is and sticks to that. Abney is physical and while he was efficient in the paint, he also had a smooth free throw when he was fouled on shots on the interior as well. I also liked the feel Abney showed on the court, knowing where to be and how to make a pass if he wasn't going up with a layup. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
