Here are some of the best 16u standouts we saw at this event.
Carter Bryant Carter Bryant 6'8" | SF Corona Centennial (CA) | 2024 State #12 Nation CA-S , Paul George Elite 16s – Bryant is our top-ranked class of 2024 prospect in our SoCal rankings and it was easy to see why. At 6-feet-8, Bryant has elite tools to go along with his projectable frame. The rising junior has the ball skills, shooting ability and dribble-drive feel to serve in a point-forward type of role and has the mid-post scoring arsenal and passing ability to orchestrate offense at the 15-foot level of the floor. Defensively, Bryant has a high IQ in team defensive schemes and has great timing as a primary and secondary help shot blocker.
Jamari Phillips Jamari Phillips 6'3" | SG Dream City Christian | 2024 State #20 Nation AZ , Paul George Elite 16s – Phillips is one of the premier scoring guards on the west coast. The 6-foot-2 rising junior is a perimeter shooting threat both off the catch and off the bounce. Phillips creates an impressive amount of separation from his defender on his step-back jumper and the elevation he gets makes it difficult for defenders to close out. The Northern California-product has the ability to heat up in a hurry and makes his impact scoring in bunches.
Jed-Ethan Nansha Jed-Ethan Nansha 6'8" | PF Dallas Hillcrest | 2025 State #181 Nation TX , Crab 5 Elite 16s (TX) – Nansha is a physical and high-motor forward whose impact was felt on the boards, as a multi-positional defender and as a transition rim-runner and finisher around the basket. The 6-foot-7 forward has a strong frame with a pop of vertical athleticism and enjoys playing through contact. Nansha has long-term potential as a high motor four man who rebounds at a high rate and puts pressure on the defense with his willingness to run the floor.
Kaiden Myers Kaiden Myers 6'3" | CG Allen | 2024 State TX , Crab 5 Elite 16s (TX) – Myers plays the game with smoothness that at times allows him to effortlessly score both in transition and half-court settings. The 6-foot-4 combo guard has a consistent shooting stroke from three-point range and can knock down triples both on the move and off the catch. Myers flashed some playmaking ability for teammates in transition and played with great effort and energy on the defensive end.
Kelley Okoroh, Truth AAU 16s (MD) – Okoroh is an elite slasher and finisher in both transition and half-court settings. The 6-foot-4 wing has a strong, well-built frame to go along with his combination of downhill speed, balance and explosiveness off the floor when rising to finish around the basket. Okoroh’s high motor results in easy transition buckets because of his willingness to get out and run the floor.
Scottie Hubbard Scottie Hubbard 6'5" | SG Jackson-Reed | 2024 State MD , Truth AAU 16s (MD) – Hubbard has a super versatile skill-set for his size. At 6-feet-6, the class of 2024 prospect is in that “positionless” mold of basketball player as his ball skills, passing IQ and ability to slide off the ball and knock down open shots all lend to his offensive versatility. Hubbard’s size, length and lateral mobility allows him to defend multiple positions.
Trenton Pane Trenton Pane 6'0" | PG Allen | 2025 State TX , Crab 5 Elite 16s (TX) – Pane might have been one of the more explosive athletes we saw regardless of class, and it’s a good thing class didn’t matter because Pane is only a rising sophomore. The 5-foot-11 combo guard has elite blow-by speed in transition and in the half-court setting and is a constant rim pressure threat who can finish around the basket in a variety of ways. Pane’s on-ball defensive might have been the most impressive part of his game.
