Michael Lewis, Colorado Hawks 17u – Lewis is as smooth as they come with the ball in his hands. He excels in a variety of settings from transition scoring and decision making to running half-court offense or even sliding off the ball and knocking down perimeter jumpers off the catch.
Payton Chism Payton Chism 6'1" | PG Mount Pleasant | 2023 State TX , Southern Assault 17u – Chism is a heady 6-foot guard who really did a nice job of identifying what his team needed and delivered on that. From pushing the pace and attacking the basket to slowing things down and running offense, Chism has the pulse of his team and runs the show at a high level for Southern Assault.
Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT , Utah Prospects 17u – Meza is a high motor and hard-nosed guard who only knows how to play the game one way. The 6-foot floor general uses his combination of strength and speed to maneuver his way into the lane for pull-up jumpers, soft-touched floaters or drive-and-kick passes to open shooters. What earned Meza a spot on this list was his defensive intensity.
Tylen Riley Tylen Riley 6'2" | CG Durango | 2023 State NV , Las Vegas Knicks 17u – Riley’s stock has been rising on the west coast this spring and summer and for good reason. The 6-foot-3 Vegas-based signal caller is a dynamic transition playmaker whether it’s getting to the rim and scoring himself or dishing off to a big or shooter for an open look. Riley has great change of speed and direction on the break.
Yaqub Mir Yaqub Mir 6'3" | SG Granite Bay | 2023 State CA-N , Team Lillard 17u – Mir is another player whose name might not immediately ring a bell, but his game deserves to be recognized. The Northern California-based guard has a great pace to his game and handles defensive pressure and physicality well without getting sped up or off balance. Mir’s ability to knock down three-point shots with consistency opens up driving lanes for him to play-make for teammates.
