Transfers have become more and more common across Kentucky and this summer has seen a ton of them as kids are on the move all over Kentucky. Here’s a look at some impact players moving schools this summer.

Top Seniors Leaving Kentucky:

Male’s [player_tooltip player_id="932764" first="Kaleb" last="Glenn"] is headed to La Lumiere Prep in Indiana.

CAL’s [player_tooltip player_id="1043600" first="George" last="Washington III"] moved to Dayton, Ohio when his dad was hired as a coach for the Dayton women’s team.

Seniors on the Move:

[player_tooltip player_id="1191947" first="Marcus" last="Eaves"] is headed to Madisonville-North Hopkins from Hopkins County Central. Eaves is probably the best Senior in the 2nd region.

[player_tooltip player_id="932770" first="Trey" last="Skaggs"] is now at Great Crossing after playing varsity at Madison Central since his 8th grade year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1184584" first="DeJohn" last="Blunt"] is also headed to Great Crossing. Blunt started his career at Henry Clay before spending the last two years at Bourbon County. DeJohn has had a huge AAU spring.

[player_tooltip player_id="932785" first="Jamal" last="Chambers"] will suit up for Fern Creek next season. He was the starting point guard at Western in 2021 but missed all last season with an ACL tear.

Junior Transfers:

Trinity’s backcourt got a lot better when [player_tooltip player_id="1258402" first="Drae" last="Vasser"] moved from Jeffersontown to play for the Rocks next season.

Former Butler point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1244942" first="Julian" last="Bunton"] is now at DeSales. Technically he’s a 2024 but Bunton has announced an eventual transfer to 2025 and is playing 15u AAU this season.

Menifee County lost their leading scorer when [player_tooltip player_id="1043603" first="Eli" last="Johnson"] made the move to Pikeville for next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1191990" first="Abram" last="Stinebruner"] has left CAL and is now enrolled at Oldham County. Stinebruner should eventually make an impact for the Colonels as a versatile wing player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1089523" first="Ian" last="Reesor"] is now at Sayre after leaving Lexington Catholic. Look for Ian to play a huge role for Sayre.

Sophomores:

[player_tooltip player_id="1471995" first="Da’Von" last="Martin"] is headed to CAL after spending last season at Evangel Christian.

The rich get richer as [player_tooltip player_id="1418232" first="Chris" last="Finch"] left Doss to enroll as part of a loaded backcourt at Western.

It remains to be seen if [player_tooltip player_id="1148600" first="Cutter" last="Boley"] will play basketball or not at LCA but he’s a big time QB prospect who also averaged 13 points and 5 rebounds last season for LaRue County.

Freshmen:

Most freshmen aren’t considered transfers but since [player_tooltip player_id="1359139" first="Jayden" last="Johnson"] started for Male last season, his move to Trinity this summer is a notable one. He’s a top 2 prospect in Kentucky’s 2026 class.
