Johnson was an absolute flame thrower from 3pt range against Lawrence Central knocking down 5 threes that were deep. He opened up the floor for everyone as they couldn’t help off of him. He is a bucket and can score both off the catch and dribble which makes him an attractive player at the next level. Pikeville has all the pieces to make a run.

Eli is another kid I’ve seen repeatedly in the last 6 months or so and the one thing I really admire about him is how consistent he is. You know when he shows up that you’re going to get every ounce of effort Johnson can give you. A multi level scorer, Eli played on and off the ball Saturday and was effective at both. his basketball IQ is very high and you can see why he’s been one of the best point guards in the mountains for years now.

Johnson has been one of the best scorers in the 16th region for the past few seasons and will add even more firepower to the Panthers roster that has a lot of talent. Eli should get way more open looks thanks to the talent level around him at his new home.
