Jesse Burris Jesse Burris 6'4" | SF Delaware Hayes | 2024 State #297 Nation OH , 6’4 SF Delaware Hayes 2024 Mid Ohio Pumas Gold 16 U: The Pumas and Ohio Rebels played an absolute war and Burris stood out with his impressive scoring ability, creating his own shot. Burris won’t blow you away with quickness but he gets to his spots and is a great shooter from the outside. Burris is looking like a clear Division I prospect and I’d be surprised if he ended the summer live periods without a Division I offer.
Hosea Steele Hosea Steele 6'4" | SF Richmond Heights | 2024 State OH , 6’4 PF Cleveland Heights 2024 Ohio Rebels 16 U: Steele is a match-up problem at the grassroots level, with his unique slashing ability combined with his size, he’s tough to keep out of the paint. Steele can finish with both hands around the basket and has impressive change of pace with the basketball. Steele is a under the radar prospect who’s ready to explode on the radar this winter.
Mason Shrout Mason Shrout 6'4" | SF Preble Shawnee | 2024 State OH , 6’4 SF Preble Shawnee 2024 All Ohio Red 16 U: Shrout and Jackson Washington both stood out for All Ohio Red this weekend, both shooting the ball at a high level from downtown. Shrout also has an advanced offensive game with the ability to score off closeouts, using pivots and pump-fakes to keep the defense on their toes. Shrout had a big EYBL session in Orlando back in April and could start to see the Division I offers coming flowing in this July.
Chance Casenhiser Chance Casenhiser 5'11" | PG Uniontown Lake | 2024 State OH , 5’10 PG Uniontown Lake 2024 Team Clutch 16 U: Casenhiser led his team to a gold bracket championship, upsetting All Ohio Red in the championship. Casenhiser is an undersized point guard who has some wiggle with the ball in his hands and can create for himself. Casenhiser is a volume shooter who made some key shots late in the game against the Ohio Buckets. Casenhiser also runs the show for a Team Clutch squad that moves the ball well and gets good shots on most possessions.
Alex Bruskotter Alex Bruskotter 6'7" | PF Shelby | 2024 State #316 Nation OH , 6’7 PF Shelby 2024 Ohio Buckets-Garcia: Bruskotter is a prospect I didn’t get to watch for almost a year but reminded me why I have him ranked so highly in the state. Bruskotter is a good shooter at 6’7 and can create for himself a little on the perimeter. With Bruskotter’s size and shooting ability, I think he’s another prospect who will likely get Division I offers by the time it’s all said and done.
Jay Reynolds, 6’3 SG Talawanda 2024 Shining Star Price 16 U: Reynolds is another prospect who I haven’t seen in almost a year, with my last evaluation being at this exact same event last spring. Reynolds is an impressive athlete in transition and used his strength to score around the basket and take contact. Reynolds is explosive off two feet and can hang in the air to avoid shot-blockers. Reynolds also made some clutch outside shots as the game winded down, showing his ability to score from inside the paint and behind the 3-point line. Reynolds is a no-brainer scholarship prospect and will likely see his recruitment spike next spring.
