The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number 2 took place in Denver, Colorado with the Spring Kick-Off. The event featured nearly 100 programs ranging from age 15U – to 17U. The event also featured a lot of guys that can pursue the pumpkin. In this article, we take a look at the top rebounders from the event.
Graham Eikenberry Graham Eikenberry 6'10" | PF St Andrew’s RI | 2023 State OR 6’11 C BDH Elite 2023 (#18PHO 2023) (featured image) – Eikenberry used his size effectively this weekend. A volume below the rim rebounder, the 6’11 C was able to use his frame to squeeze between opponents and rebound in traffic. He showed decent hands, controlling the boards despite fending off defenders. He did it on both ends, showing the ability to not only rebound with inside position but to also keep balls alive on the offensive glass as well.
Gunner Hughes Gunner Hughes 6'5" | PF Crowley County | 2025 State CO 6’4 PF Colorado Miners 2025 – Hughes jumped out at me right off the bat with his activity. His simply being around the basketball gave him an opportunity, and he took advantage by grabbing a high number of boards. The rangy forward was one of the best out of area rebounders I saw on the day, and he showed a competitive side, winning most of his 50/50 rebounding opportunities.
Hunter Roark Hunter Roark 6'3" | PG Stargate | 2025 State CO 6’1 SF Colorado Anarchy 2025 – Roark is a hard nosed tough dirty work guy, who battled on the boards. He was one of the best undersized rebounders I saw, as the forward showed a knack for grabbing tough in traffic boards.
Davion Bryant 6’7 PF Miners 2022 – Bryant was all energy and limbs. He used his motor to be the first big down the floor, and his long arms to take rebounds away from smaller players. Bryant, a good R&J athlete also showed some fluidness, and leaping ability grabbing out of area boards.
Myles Anderson 6’8 PF Colorado Premiere 2023 – I kept seeing a little of Anderson, but never enough. Then I was fortunate to make up for lost time by catching him in one of the last games of the event a triple-overtime thriller. Anderson was one of the best players on the floor and his best skill was his rebounding. He aggressively attacked the glass, keeping balls alive, and winning in traffic rebounding wars. It was refreshing to see a player of his size willing to play with a consistent motor.
