Roark’s high motor plays a pivotal role in his impact, quick to get up for second chance opportunities. A willing rebounder on both ends of the floor, the guard has a nose for the ball, active kick starting offensive possessions. They continue to show value as a shotmaker in the mid-range, off the dribble or catch. Roark stayed active attacking the rim, quick to make the extra pass once help defense took away the lane. He was among the better facilitators from this event, particularly while operating in the paint. Getting downhill with either his left or right hand, he blew by his defender off the first step on quite a few occasions.

Roark is a consistent cover here this summer, particularly due to his willingness to impact the game outside of scoring. Active on second chance opportunities from offensive rebounds, the guard tends to get into the thick of it for physical finishes in the paint. Also active poking away the ball from opposing ball handlers or from strong rips against opponents, the guard welcomes contact. Roark’s growth as a perimeter shooter has been especially intriguing, making himself available on catch and shoot three’s from all over the floor. His impact will be on full display with Stargate, taking on a large role for the program.

Roark is a player that can create scoring opportunities for himself by his court awareness and the way he is constantly moving on the offensive end. He is adept at getting inside and creating contact, getting himself to the charity stripe and connecting at a high rate. He has a nice midrange and can stop and pop quickly rising up over defenders to get his shot off. He loses defenders when he keeps moving and find open 3 point opportunities that he is able to knock down as well. He plays the passing lane well and is quick to push the pace in transition, finishing at the rim.
