Enriquez may still be flying under the radar, but don’t expect that to last much longer. After averaging 13.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season at Stargate, he enters the year poised for a breakout campaign. A confident shooter with deep range, Enriquez never hesitates when he gets a clean look and has the ability to heat up in a hurry. He is equally effective attacking downhill, using his strong left hand to get into the paint and finish or create opportunities for teammates. On the defensive end he competes with relentless energy, forcing turnovers, disrupting passing lanes and making life difficult on opposing guards. His two way impact makes him one of the more intriguing senior guards to watch this season

Enriquez had some solid games this year that put him on the map, but there were questions about the level of competition, so seeing him play for Hard2Guard against some of the top players in the state was intriguing. He had some solid moments, and in their game against Premier, he embraced the challenge of handling the ball against one of the better defensive groups in the event and never looked rattled. He looked like a calm guard who handled pressure, broke the press and came off ball screens under control, knocked down perimeter shots, and consistently got two feet into the paint before making his decision. Playing for a smaller school didn’t faze him one bit. He showed he belongs in games against some of the state’s top competition, and this was a solid event for him.

Stargate’s success in part can be thanks to Enriquez’s well rounded impact as a facilitator and rebounder. Bringing a nose for the ball, he is always active flying across the floor or seeking a box out to secure the defensive board. What makes him so valuable is the quick passing instincts, comfortable propelling fast breaks. Few, if any backcourt names in this class have put up over 5 points, rebounds, and assists per game.

A jack of all trades, Enriquez works to fill the team’s needs however possible, although his facilitating abilities are about as effective as anyone in this class. Adept at getting downhill to draw in multiple defenders, the guard is a quick decisionmaker off the bounce, ready and willing to the open man when available. Posting 7.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, Enriquez has been especially helpful towards Stargate’s 7-1 record thus far.
