Reed Sheppard Reed Sheppard 6'3" | PG North Laurel | 2023 State #22 Nation KY 6’2 SG (2023) Midwest Basketball Club (North Laurel)
Sheppard brings all-around skill on the offensive end for Midwest. The Kentucky commit utilized scoring from multiple levels especially with the pull-up jumper. Sheppard’s breakdown on the perimeter is clean and accelerates quickly going downhill. Overall he’s a very skilled guard with a lot of upside to his game.
Chandler Starks Chandler Starks 6'6" | C Anderson | 2023 State OH 6’6 PF (2023) Indiana Elite (Covington Catholic)
Starks is automatic on the blocks when it comes to rebounding the basketball. The 6’6 senior has a high motor on the glass and strong frame and build. From watching his game, it’s apparent Starks simply outhustles opposing bigs and can be a force regardless of who he is facing. Starks could be a a target to D2s across the Midwest.
Evan Ipsaro Evan Ipsaro 5'11" | PG Covington Catholic | 2023 State KY 5’11 PG (2023) Indiana Elite (Covington Catholic)
Ipsaro came off the bench for Indiana Elite and settled in quickly. His vision is elite as he sees the floor and checks his options in halfcourt offensive sets. Ipsaro has added muscle to his frame and now appears to be more physically imposing than previously watched. Ipsaro has a good handle of the ball and can be a great backcourt asset with his skillsets.
James Turner James Turner 6'6" | PF Newport | 2026 State KY 6’6 PF (2026) Super Friendz (Newport)
Turner played up a grade level for Super Friendz and looked very comfortable playing up at the 15U level. Turner brings more of a defensive tenacity to the game with his length. Long armed and capable of being a consistent rebounding and rim protection threat. Turner hasn’t had to do a lot on the offensive end with some of the offensive firepower on the Super Friendz roster, but would like to see what he can do when the ball is in his hands.
Malachi Moreno Malachi Moreno 6'11" | C Great Crossing | 2025 State #21 Nation KY 6’11 C (2025) Indiana Elite (Great Crossing)
Moreno has tremendous size for a sophomore pushing 7-feet tall. Playing for Indiana Elite, Moreno jumped off the page right away with his size and pure rebounding potential. His scrawnier build allows him to get around boxouts and be quicker than other bigs. I like his upside as Moreno currently sits at #2 in Indiana’s 2024 class.
