Ipsaro had to shoulder more of an offensive burden for Covington Catholic this season as his supporting cast was way down from what he had in his last couple of seasons. Evan was Co-regional player of the year and the Colonels are probably the team to beat in the 9th region.

Ipsaro has been one of the best players I have watched since I saw him last winter at the Battle @ The Villages. This year, he took his team of Kentucky shooters to Ocala and dominated en route to a 5th place finish at the Kingdom of the Sun. Ipsaro is one of the most in-control players I have scouted. Whether he is initiating the offense or sprinting for a shot on the fast break, Ipsaro is calm, collected, and makes the right read. His passing is an absolute treat, as he was able to find gaps in opposing defenses to set up his teammates for really easy looks. He found passing lanes and was great on the ball and really led the Covington team to victory every chance he could. Ipsaro does everything with poise, from mid range jump shooting to defensive contesting. The Miami (OH) commit will have to take some time to continue developing his body, but with a breadth of basketball knowledge and a poised, mature approach to the game, Ipsaro will be a wonderful addition to the RedHawks next season.

One of the better point guards in the 9th region in recent memory, Ipsaro is committed to Miami Ohio and has his sights set on getting Cov Cath back to Rupp Arena in his Senior season. Evan is a better athlete than he gets credit for and uses his strength to finish through contact at the rim.
