The season is scheduled to start in a little over 2 weeks so we’re breaking down some things to look for in the 2020-21 year. Let’s take a look at some potential impact transfers.

[player_tooltip player_id="922997" first="Kale" last="Gaither"], Madisonville - Kale has had a non-traditional high school career but is hopefully saving his best for last as he’s going to be relied on to score the ball for the two time defending 2nd region champs who are going to have to replace a lot.

[player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Zavian" last="Jackson"], [player_tooltip player_id="638872" first="Gage" last="Mabry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="926886" first="Turrell" last="Cleaves Jr."], Jeffersontown - Jeffersontown always brings in several new faces and this offseason was no different. The X factor is Jackson. Despite modest averages last season, he was a standout at the Bluegrass Fall League and provides the Chargers with some good size and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id="923034" first="Blake" last="Robinson"], Covington Holy Cross - Brandon Grammer looks to make a push to get to the regional tournament this season and Robinson’s shooting should help. One of the better players at Grant County last season, Blake will be a starter for a solid 9th region contender.

[player_tooltip player_id="926898" first="Mitchell" last="Rylee"], Covington Catholic - After Skyler Schmidt was ruled ineligible and went back to Cincinnati, Rylee’s potential impact becomes even greater. He made a name for himself in the fall league and will have a chance to start for the 9th region favorites.

[player_tooltip player_id="926888" first="Bryce" last="Riley"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1069277" first="Andrew" last="Mason"], Bardstown - Bardstown brings in the leading scorers from their two biggest rivals and immediately became big time contenders in the 5th again after it was looking like 2021 could be a down year.

[player_tooltip player_id="926892" first="Aden" last="Slone"], George Rogers Clark - The floor general makes the move from Danville and will have an immediate impact for a team that could really use another playmaker. Slone can also play off the ball more than he did last season and become an outside shooting threat.

[player_tooltip player_id="926900" first="Robby" last="Todd"], Rowan County - The 16th region typically is light on size and Todd will bring that and solid athleticism to the Vikings. A prospect with a high ceiling, I’m excited to see Robby get to play through his mistakes after having a short leash the last few seasons at Dunbar.

[player_tooltip player_id="932782" first="Kenyon" last="Goodin"], Collins - A two sport star who is having a huge football season, Kenyon will have a big role to fill for a reloading Titans team that will look to replace 2 D1 signees from last season. Goodin should get plenty of shots and a long leash to play through any mistakes.

[player_tooltip player_id="926936" first="Micah" last="Engle"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1009763" first="Gavin" last="Allen"], Corbin - Allen is big and Engle is a good scorer. Getting both of them from Corbin was a coup for tiny Lynn Camp. Both are going to have a chance to prove they’re top talents in the region and Allen in particular is going to have a chance to show he’s more than just a big body.
