He put on a fantastic shooting display in practice on Tuesday, knocking down three-point shot after three-point shot. It didn’t matter if he was standing still or moving, or if it was in live play or in drills; Scott rarely missed from deep range. Look for him to be used in lineups that allow some of their younger guards more space to get to the rim this season.

Rounding out the list of Stock Rising 2028s in the Prep Hoops South Carolina Rankings is William Scott William Scott 6'1" | SG Greenville | 2028 State SC . Scott is the second Greenville Red Raider to make this list, and he did so thanks to big shooting showings for Greenville in June and Hoopzters during grassroots play. William is arguably one of the best high-volume shooters in the junior class, which creates spacing for every offense he plays in. While shooting will be the calling card for college coaches, I am interested to see what other area of his game can develop to be more than a one-trick pony at the next level.

The best 2028 shooter I saw in Myrtle Beach was Scott. I only caught a half of Hoopzters on Saturday, but it was a very impressive half from Will, and one that has his stock trending upward. He went 5-6 from behind the arc in just 10 first-half minutes, looking confident and ready to pull the trigger whenever he had the ball. The lefty was a weapon in transition and on out-of-bounds sets, giving his offense an advantage in special situations.

Scott checks in as a Top 25 Shooting Guard in his class, and he’s in the rankings because of how valuable his shooting can be. Whether it’s with his AAU team or with Greenville High School, William is called on to be an efficient catch-and-shoot threat, and he is very capable of it.

Another Hoopzters 17U player who stood out playing up is Scott. Scott was the team’s second leading scorer in Rock Hill behind Hayden, putting up 13.8 points per game, including a 25-point outing in game two. William’s calling card is shooting. He is important to the Hoopzters ‘ offense because of the spacing he creates from the wings and the pressure he can put on the paint when playing closeouts.
