About Will
Expert Analysis
Daniel Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
Blue Valley North jumped all over Blue Valley Northwest early, and Davis was a huge factor in setting the tone. There was no one on the floor who could match up with him as he consistently attacked the rim and finished over smaller defenders. Playing with his back to the basket out of the mid-post, he used his size to establish deep position or slowly back down defenders while reading help rotations. Davis showcased a variety of scoring moves, hitting fadeaways and touch shots from all over the floor, and he effectively drew multiple defenders to create wide-open looks for his teammates. His ability to handle the ball in transition and full-court situations made it difficult for the Huskies to focus on him, as he could score or create depending on the defensive look. There’s a reason he’s considered one of the top names in the state, regardless of class.

In another heated area rivalry matchup around the area, it was Davis who powered Blue Valley North past Blue Valley. Will took advantage of smaller defenders throughout the contest, establishing himself in the post and finishing up and over the top with quick and decisive moves.
He displayed strong footwork and a quick approach, methodically backing defenders down until he secured deep position. Once there, he was tough to stop. Beyond his scoring, Davis made his presence felt on the glass and used his length effectively on the defensive end, impacting the game on both sides of the floor while guiding the Mustang attack throughout.
He also found opportunities to run in transition, and when he did, he made it count — rising up for an emphatic finish in the open floor to put an exclamation point on the game. Don’t look now but the talent may be finally matching the expectations for the Mustangs, led firmly by Davis.

is one of the most highly sought-after national recruits, and for good reason. His rare combination of size, length, and skill makes him a standout at his position. Offensively, Davis boasts an elite scoring package. He’s a consistent threat from the perimeter, capable of knocking down shots with confidence, and he attacks the rim with power and purpose. His ball-handling is an underrated aspect of his game, allowing him to create off the dribble and push the break in transition — a rare trait for a player of his size. Defensively, Davis is just as impactful. He has a knack for jumping passing lanes, generating deflections and turnovers with his anticipation and quick hands. He’s also a capable rim protector and has the versatility to defend all five positions, making him a valuable asset in switch-heavy schemes.
