What teams have the best frontcourts in Kansas high school basketball this year? We give you our answer now, on the 12 best. Keep in mind, depth is a factor here.

St. Thomas Aquinas (1). Aquinas has the potential to be very good up front with the biggest group and maybe the best group. They have a senior class that has 6'7 top 40 talent [player_tooltip player_id='2826190' first='Daniel' last='Rock'], 6'7 top 60 talent [player_tooltip player_id='2409317' first='Ethan' last='Mellon'], and then [player_tooltip player_id='2413462' first='Connor' last='Mellon'] at 6'4. [player_tooltip player_id='2927101' first='Jacob' last='McCullough'] is one of the elite young players in the state and he stands 6'9 and is ready to make a big jump.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel (2). [player_tooltip player_id='3718552' first='Blaise' last='Dalian'] was a first team all state player last year, up and coming talent [player_tooltip player_id='2715470' first='Braylon' last='Jones'] stands 6'6/6'7 and is about to take a big step as a sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id='3771108' first='Jackson' last='Gosch'] is a 6'5 power forward that was all league last year, 6'4 [player_tooltip player_id='2395695' first='Jordan' last='Maingu'] is versatile and can play a few spots, [player_tooltip player_id='2822950' first='Camden' last='Sharp'] is 6'5 up front, and [player_tooltip player_id='2815538' first='Reid' last='Stuhlsatz'] is a 6'5 top 60 returning all league honored player.

Blue Valley North (3). All State combo forward [player_tooltip player_id='2815486' first='Will' last='Davis'] leads this team and is a top prospect in the state. Davis plays with [player_tooltip player_id='2205709' first='Colton' last='Nichols'] who is 6'4 and can play three different spots on the floor. Add in young Elijah Pendergass and you have a nice group that's versatile and tough to deal with.

Cheney (4). [player_tooltip player_id='2205721' first='Logan' last='Wallace'] is back at 6'11 and ready to go for a bit senior year. [player_tooltip player_id='2815491' first='Quaid' last='Thomas'] is a 6'5 agile banger that was all state last year and he returns to play with Wallace. Add in depth with [player_tooltip player_id='3765573' first='Ayden' last='Koehn'] at 6'4 up front and this is going to be a beast of a team to deal with in the paint.

Blue Valley Northwest (5). [player_tooltip player_id='2205725' first='Tommy' last='Chapman'] is a shooter at forward that stands 6'6 and he can play on the wing some because the team has junior Vinny Mateoni at 6'7 in the frontcout as well. Both are top 30 area prospects in their class. At 6'4 as a junior, [player_tooltip player_id='2820771' first='Baron' last='Marshall'] helps at forward as well.

Gardner-Edgerton (6). More forwards than center space eaters but a team with Vince Vandellan at 6'6, [player_tooltip player_id='2470681' first='Peter' last='Frisbie'] 6'5, and [player_tooltip player_id='3772211' first='Kaiden' last='Brown'] at 6'4 is going to be very tough to deal with.

Shawnee Mission South (7). [player_tooltip player_id='2205710' first='Conor' last='Kerrigan'] is an Indiana State commit coming off a great junior year and 17u season. Depth around him needs to be developed with Drake Debaun and Ben Allen moving on but Conor alone gives his team a strong frontcourt.

Andover (8). [player_tooltip player_id='2927405' first='Drew' last='Hutchinson'] is up front at 6'7 and coming off an all league honored winter and a good 17u season. At 6'4, [player_tooltip player_id='2605487' first='Drew' last='Bontrager'] is a top 50 area junior that will play forward as well making Andover tough.

Wichita Heights (9). [player_tooltip player_id='2969778' first='Tyson' last='Phillips'] is that defensive end that plays big on the basketball court with great results. [player_tooltip player_id='2829139' first='Jamari' last='Merriweather'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3693976' first='Kyleal' last='Robinson'] are also frontcourt returning seniors for Heights. And keep in mind, even though he is a guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2401810' first='Ah'Jaylyn' last='Walker'] is 6'4 and can help in the paint too with various tthings.

Hesston (10). Hesston was led by first team all state player [player_tooltip player_id='3091354' first='Drew' last='Bartell'] who had a monster junior year, and next to him was [player_tooltip player_id='3770470' first='Kason' last='Landes'], an all league honored combo forward who is like Bartell, a senior this season.

Hiawatha (11). [player_tooltip player_id='2979874' first='Braylen' last='Siebenmorgen'] is an all state honored Class 3A player that had a strong 17u season and should have a monster senior year. [player_tooltip player_id='3788984' first='Grayson' last='Gilbert'] is an undersized forward that should take a step this season after gaining experience last year.

Wichita East (12). The emerging [player_tooltip player_id='2814772' first='Aiden' last='Butler'] has a chance to be a top 25 scholarship level prospect and 6'5 [player_tooltip player_id='2393670' first='Oliver' last='Selmon'] plays next to him.

Washburn Rural (12). [player_tooltip player_id='3695058' first='Cooper' last='Schmidt'] took a nice step forward in the off-season. Last year he played next to John Hoytal who was a senior, this year 6'5 [player_tooltip player_id='2111691' first='Jacob' last='Hoytal'] should move from JV and playing a bit of varsity to being with Schmidt - who averaged seven boards and two plus blocks a game last year - in that frontcourt.
