Another name who took over the RecruitLook Bracket Championship and helped power his team to a title was Walker. The extremely talented left-hander put together an impressive run, showing he can handle the ball and attack off the bounce, where he glides and slashes to the rim with an effortless feel. His scoring package around the basket is unique, but he balances it with perimeter shooting and a steadily improving mid-range game. He gets to his pull-up quickly and abruptly, consistently keeping defenders off balance.
Walker was at his best when his team needed him most, relying on his combination of size and skill from the guard spot while making big plays in crucial moments. His ability to create, score, and impact winning possessions was on full display throughout the championship run.
There’s no question offers are on the way for Ah’Jaylyn — it’s simply a matter of when. Once they start coming, expect them to arrive in bunches. He looks poised to be the face of another talented Wichita Heights squad this winter, and his recruitment should only continue to trend upward.

In watching Walker, who led his Team One of Us 16s championship this weekend, you can’t help but notice his effort to be one step ahead of everybody on the court. Walker gets up the floor quicker, he gets to his spots on defense quicker, he pushes the ball quicker, he recognizes, quicker off his feet, and hits open lanes to the rim quicker.
Is that being alert? That Walker plays harder than others? Is he more consistent and and more aggressive? From what we can see, the answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Walker is about 6’3 but also has length and he is a lefty and when he gets that angle Walker has been a high percentage finisher. Does a great job taking contact (with a shoulder, with hip, whatever) and then releasing from that contact and using length to complete the play.

Walker, long and rangy, looks like a prototypical next-level guard with his combination of size and skill. While he’s always been able to score the ball, this spring has seen him take things to another level. His smooth left-handed stroke from the perimeter has continued to show up, but he’s also been effective rising up from the mid-range and shooting over defenders. Ah’Jaylyn can get to the rim whenever he wants, changing pace and getting downhill where he prefers to finish with his left hand. At his best finishing off two feet, he brings a blend of power and finesse that allows him to succeed in a variety of situations. When engaged defensively, he can also shut down perimeter players with good lateral quickness and active hands that create turnovers against opposing guards.

The smooth left-handed guard looks better than ever this spring as he’s added more explosiveness and feel to his game. Walker consistently plays off two feet when attacking the rim and has shown the ability to rise above it for some powerful finishes. While he can shoot it from deep and in the mid-range, it’s his slashing and the way he avoids defenders in the air that really catch the eye. A legitimate two-way guard who can still fill out his frame, there’s no doubt he’s in line for a big summer of growth and should turn some heads in the process.

often commands the spotlight, Ah’Jaylyn has emerged as a reliable secondary scorer and defender, choosing his moments wisely. He’s had standout games where his offensive impact is undeniable, and he looks poised to become the next big name to come out of the storied program. Walker is shooting the three with efficiency and is tough to contain off the bounce, particularly when attacking with his left hand. He also consistently earns trips to the free-throw line, showcasing his ability to create opportunities and put defenders at a disadvantage.
