About Weston

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a very strong work ethic. I often turn defense into offense. I usually guard one of the other teams top player. I am versatile on offense. I can drive, shoot mid range jumpers and strong 3 point shooter. I believe in creating for my teammates. I take pride in being a strong playmaker putting my teammates in good spots. I want to out work my opponent. Be the strongest worker on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very goal driven with a strong work ethic, determination and faith. I am a confident player which helps me stay level not too high and not too low just focused. I am a natural leader that wants my hard work to bring best out of teammates and coaches. I am humble in nature and want my game to stand for itself. I want to earn everything that comes my way and be coached to my potential.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a very active member in 4-H. I enjoy the dairy project and showing dairy cattle at our county and State level. I am active in our church and enjoy Wednesday church services and confirmation classes. I was also on the Student Leadership Committee. I am a good student that takes pride in my grades and am an eager learner and strive to do my best in class.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

4-H has helped foster a strong work ethic in animals. I purchased and raise my own dairy show animals. I have won 3 trips to Minnesota State Fair and have a goal of showing at World Dairy Expo. 4-H supports my work ethic, leadership, drive and mentorship. I enjoy mentoring kids in 4-H and when go to MN State Fair. My teammates and coaches see me as a leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Learning is not easy for myself. I have dyslexia and dysgraphia but through appropriate testing I have identified how I learn and view it as an advantage. I do not believe in excuses instead hard work and strive to be a patient and creative learner. I am a strong student that advocates for myself and my grades stand for themselves.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in a 4 year degree right now thinking animal science. I have a strong interest in pedigrees and genetics. I want to raise my own show animals. I am in the process of breeding my own dairy animals. I am blessed by adult mentors and a family that can support my interests and help support my long term goals. I want to take advantage of my time to learn and develop my interests.
