About Spiro

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a confident floor general, shooter, and strong defender who controls the pace, makes smart plays, handles pressure, and brings competitive energy on both ends of the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m confident, competitive, and composed under pressure. I hate losing, I play with passion, and I always try to lead by example with energy, toughness, and a team-first mindset.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I’m involved in NHS and Student Council, where I help with school events, leadership, service, and representing my classmates. These activities have helped me become a better leader, communicator, and teammate.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and community service skills through NHS, Student Council, and sports. I’ve learned how to work with different people, stay responsible, help organize events, and lead by example in school and athletics.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. I’ve faced challenges with an ankle injury limiting me to so many games and with my confidence at the beginning of school basketball. It was tough at first, but I kept working, stayed positive, and trusted the process. Over time, I became more confident, healthier, and more comfortable playing my game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong basketball program, competitive culture, and good academics. I want a place where I can keep developing as a player, compete at a high level, and be surrounded by coaches and teammates who push me to get better every day.

Palmer was one of those players this weekend that you just kept appreciating more and more every time you watched him. He might not have been the loudest on the court, but his impact showed up in every game. He did a little bit of everything that leads to winning from handling the ball, crashing the glass, defending and moving without it and he did it all the right way. He made smart reads, stayed under control and consistently put himself in the right spots. Coaches love players like Palmer because he just gets it. Throughout the tournament, he was unselfish, steady and a key piece in everything his team did

Palmer turned this summer into his personal showcase. From beyond the arc he drilled three’s with precision game after game. Whether he had defenders in his face or giving him space, he let it fly and more often than not it dropped. He also showed great ability to drive the lane and make the smart play at the bucket. His hands were always active on defense, forcing steals and turnovers that turned into lightning fast transition plays. Between deep range shooting, defensive energy and playmaking, Palmer proved why he belongs on the rankings list. He’s not just a player to watch he’s a standout who can make waves

Palmer gained valuable varsity experience as a freshman and now enters his sophomore season ready for a larger role. Palmer is a confident shooter with deep range, he can also attack the rim and create off the bounce, and that was something that has been on display. His versatility stands out as he’s comfortable on or off the ball. He’s a floor spacer, and willing passer and that keeps defenses honest. This season, I expect him to be very productive and a key offensive piece and that’s why he moves into the rankings after being on the watch list.

In his freshman season, it was not the season that the team expected, but there was a bright spot for them as they got to see what they had in their youth. A player who stood out and had them excited for the future is Spiro Palmer Spiro Palmer Spiro Palmer 6'2" | PG/SG Fort Collins | 2028 State CO . Spiro put up 5.2 points a game, and it looks like Spiro has been working on his game. He has been shooting lights out whenever we see him, and his Fort Collins teammates will want to see that translate. He shoots with a hand in his face, and when the shot is not falling, he gets downhill and attacks the defense. Spiro plays on and off the ball, plays tough defense, and things are starting to slow down for him. Excited to see how he looks in year 2.

One of the top freshmen in this event, no question. Showed a smooth pull-up mid-range game, soft high floaters, and a quick release from three. A reliable floor spacer with a good handle and a strong sense of pace — used his change of speeds well to create space and get to his spots.

A confident shot creator with a great feel for the game. Scored it at all three levels — knocking down pull-up mid-range jumpers, high-arcing floaters, and quick-release threes. A true floor spacer who keeps the defense honest. Handled the ball well, showed good change of speeds, and played with poise and control throughout.

Palmer really showed out this weekend and definitely made a name for himself. His first game of the tournament was something else, Palmer put on a shooting clinic and showed off his deep range in a big way. He was absolutely lights out, drilling four threes just from the top of the key alone. It didn’t matter if a defender was right up on him or gave him a little room, he let it fly, and more often than not, it dropped. On top of that, he brought the energy on defense too. His hands were super active, forcing steals and turnovers that led to quick transition plays. More often than not, he’d finish the break himself with a smooth bucket. Overall, just a really strong all-around performance from Palmer
