is a guard from Noco Elite 15U that stood out to me due to his up tempo play style. He frequently pushes the tempo, creating quick offensive plays against the Lubbock Panthers 2029 15U. Throughout the game, he served as the primary ball handler, making plays for himself and his teammates. In my evaluation, Lucas excelled at operating the pick and roll, effectively picking apart the opposing defense on multiple occasions. Even without the ball, he made sharp cuts to the basket, positioning himself as a target in the half-court. Lucas played a crucial role in the Noco Elite 15’s success in this game.

Dowling looked the part of a true point guard all weekend, showing strong command and feel for the game. His vision stood out, consistently finding teammates and making the right reads. He was comfortable driving with either hand, keeping defenders off balance and getting into the paint when he wanted. His mid range game was polished, knocking down shots in rhythm, and he proved to be a real threat from three as well. Dowling’s ability to score at all levels while facilitating made him a steady and dangerous presence with the ball in his hands

Dowling led an undefeated NoCo Elite squad and looked every bit of a top player in the class. I like it when prospects prove a point. He attacks with purpose, gets to his spots, and takes advantage of mismatches. He was able to put together multiple scoring runs by creating offense off steals and rebounds, where he went coast to coast for finishes. Dowling reads the floor well, plays on and off the ball, and scores at all three levels. He’s a confident, productive guard with a big summer ahead, and he showed why he’s regarded as a top freshman in the state.

Lucas is also a freshman prospect who is starting to see things come together for him. He’s been impressive for all of his freshman year as a guard who the game slows down for. He plays at his own pace, attacks off the dribble, and is a prospect who gets downhill. He’s an aggressive scoring guard, and we saw that as he put up double digits in half of the games in January. He is a very good rebounder for a guard who gets the board and starts the break. He pushes the break, gets out in transition, and finds the open man or finishes. He’s seeing the game a bit differently right now and will only get better. Solid month for him that we’re going to keep taking a look at.

has been Fort Collins’ best player through 7 games. He plays with poise, the game seems to come easily for him, and he reads what is happening not he floor. I also love how assertive he is. He’s gunning for shots, attacking mismatches, and staying shot-ready. He’s the team’s go-to guy already and impacts the game in various ways. He’s averaging an impressive 13.3 points, and 5 rebounds a game. He is also showing himself as a willing passer and has 2.3 steals to go along with it. He’s a prospect that we were high on before he played a single varsity minute, and he’s solidified himself as a Top-3 player who has room to grow.

is paving his path to become Fort Collins’ number one scoring option. Capping off the first half of his freshman campaign on varsity, he leads his team with 13.3 PPG and 2.7 SPG. Beyond the statistics, Dowling is focused and driven to get better. As a 36% shooter from distance, any coach can count on Dowling when they need a big shot in the clutch. Expect the 5’11 point guard to put up even bigger numbers in the near future.

Dowling is a player that we certainly could not continue to have off the list when watching how he performed this summer in various settings. He’s an aggressive scoring point guard who thrives in transition. He’s a strong and athletic guard with size, he finishes through contact and can also stretch the floor as a confident shooter. He reads defenses, finds open teammates, and competes on both ends, and that is what makes him special. His blend of scoring, defense, and unselfish play makes him one of the top two-way guards in this class. We expect him to get plenty of varsity minutes this upcoming season and continue to grow. Big year coming for him.
