Simon is one of the more under-utilized players in this position group as he’s doing his best to maximize up and down playing time and opportunity. King has shown flashes of being a very active rebounder and is a strong passer at 6’5. Thus far, he’s taking more threes than twos in his Sophomore season but I’d like to see him put the ball on the floor more and attack the paint.

King could be one of the bigger X Factors in the 11th region this season. Simon is about the only player for LCA over 6’2 and he has the skills to play inside and out. Naturally more of a wing or face up 4, Simon plays some 5 for LCA but can step out and shoot. The Eagles really need him for his rebounding and he could average close to 10 per game if he gets the playing time.

King was a top player at our freshman showcase last year but didn’t get a lot of opportunities for LCA. Heading into his Sophomore campaign, I’m excited to see what he’s added to his game.

is another sophomore on a young, but talented Lexington Christian team. Averaging 1.4 points a game last season, King could have a more significant role in the points column, but there’s a lot more to his game. Simon sees the floor well and is a versatile prospect. He’s one of many Eagle players that have a lot of potential, with three high school seasons remaining.

Like Meagher above, King tumbled down the rankings primarily because he didn’t see the varsity court very often in his freshman season. Simon was a standout at our freshman camp back in the fall and should have ample opportunity to make an impact for the Eagles as a Sophomore thanks to his positional size and versatility.

King falls into the same category as Rawlings and Meagher as he’s not seeing much varsity time this season. Long term, Simon could be a very good prospect who is a mismatch for guards and bigs alike. For now, he needs to keep developing his skills and getting stronger to be ready when his opportunity comes.

Simon is one of those prospects whose build looks like he could be 4-5 inches taller in 2 years and if that happens, his prospect ceiling is going to be ridiculous. King has a nice skill level already and showed he can put the ball on the floor or knock down shots. Look for him to contribute early and often this high school season.

King was another forward prospect that shined at our Showcase a couple of weeks ago. Simon looks like he has plenty more growing left to do and already flashed a good skill level. It’s early but I’d think the forward will see plenty of playing time for the Eagles this upcoming season.

Simon is a prototypical wing prospect who looks like he could keep growing and become another Carter Hendricksen type of player for LCA. King showed off solid playmaking ability with the ball in his hands and was able to score the ball at every level. LCA is very young again this season but he could push for varsity playing time this winter.
