Despite a tough loss for West Jessamine to open their weekend in Lexington, I had a couple college coaches at the baseline express how impressed they were with Tut on both ends of the court. Coming out the gates aggressive, Tut had a finish off a spin move to open the game and threw down an early slam dunk off a pick and roll. Add in a couple turn and scores where he simply shot over the defender and Bryan Station was trying to figure out how to defend him in the early stages. Add in a couple of blocked shots and Tut showed why he’s regarded as one of the better bigs in Kentucky’s 2027 class.

Tut has a ton of potential and improves every time I see him. A good rim protector whose offensive skill keeps improving, Luk is a prospect with legit size and top notch agility. He keeps getting better on the offensive end and will be a top player in the region for the next two seasons if he can be less foul prone.

Tut was a breakthrough player for West last year after he had to sit out his Freshman season due to an eligibility issue after his transfer. At 6’10 and very athletic, Luk is a very high upside player who has good footwork and is known as a big time rim protector on defense. He averaged 13 points and 9 rebounds last season and could be one of the biggest X Factors in the always competitive 12th region. If he starts to realize his potential,

Tut could be one of the biggest sleepers in Kentucky. He’s long and athletic and his offensive game continues to improve in addition to being a good rebounder on both ends. While Luk has a tendency to want to float around the perimeter and when his ball handling improves, you could see a Power 5 prospect.

Tut is another high upside prospect who has shown flashes of being really good at times in his Sophomore season. Luk is a good shot blocker and has some skill around the bucket. When he doesn’t drift too far away from the elbow area, he can be borderline dominant at times. Definitely one to track.

Tut is a player who I’ve only been able to see live once but is very intriguing thanks to his height and ability to protect the rim. Luk is a long and athletic player at 6’10 and is really improving his polish around the rim on offense. He’s averaging 13 points per game but needs to be a more active rebounder at his size. Definitely a player to track.

Saturday was my first opportunity to see Padiel Tut in person and he left me with a really strong first impression. John Luk battles on both ends. He has some obvious skill and is solid around the rim in his fundamentals. Long and athletic, he blocked or altered a lot of shots at camp and as long as he doesn’t settle for trying to be a big guard and chuck a bunch of threes, Padiel Tut has a chance to be a top 2027 in Kentucky.

Padiel Tut is not new to West Jessamine but he sat out the last season as an international transfer and will suit up for the Colts this season. A legit 6’10 with ability to block and alter shots as well as rebound and finish at the rim, John Luk will make an impact on both ends for West Jessamine and could be the biggest X Factor in central Kentucky.
