is one of WV’s best players not just this year, but we believe when all is said and done will be one of the best players of that last twenty years. Young who’s committed to Akron should compete for playing time immediately and have a sizable impact. Sharron maybe viewed a bit small for a power 5 p0int guard but he really has no glaring weaknesses. We’d anticipate a very successful college career after taking his Morgantown High School squad to his last state tournament to defend their title.

Young led the Mohigans to a victory over a tough Shady Spring team on Friday scoring 21. Young’s reign of terror on opponents continues and likely to continue through season. The Akron commit also reached 1000 points milestone this week.

poured in 31 points in three quarters vs Latrobe PA this week to start his season. Young a recent Akron signee has tortured AAAA competition for three straight years and his senior campaign will be no different. A multi-tooled, two way stud, Young is a prime example of how to play the point guard position in 2023.

It will come to nobody’s surprise that Young is top ranked here. The recent Akron commit has dazzled crowds and college coaches for three years now and will continue to do so this school season. Sharron has every attribute that anyone would want in a point guard. The most valuable but more obscure thing he does on the floor is control tempo and having a feel for where the tempo needs to be. He’s a perfect example for young players learning the game at this position as he rarely makes a mistake.

Young does a great job of changing speeds and racing by defenders at times. Sharron brings constant hustle to the floor for the Mohigans. Young showed a nice mid-range pull-up game today.
Sharron attacked the gaps and really did a good job of setting up his teammates with open looks. He connected on a few runners in the lane when he wasn’t dishing out assists. Young can really stuff a stat sheet with his play. He recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists today.
