Frey is the definition of a jack-of-all-trades player who impacts the game in a variety of ways and consistently fills up the stat sheet. While he may not have one singular elite trait, he does a little bit of everything and finds ways to contribute to winning basketball. His versatility allows him to affect the game as a scorer, rebounder, facilitator, and transition threat. Offensively, Frey is effective when getting downhill and attacking the basket. He has a solid frame that allows him to absorb contact and finish through defenders, making him a difficult player to contain once he gains momentum. His aggressiveness also led to trips to the foul line, where he was able to add to his scoring output. He appears to be somewhat between positions, but his all-around skill set allows him to adapt and remain productive regardless of his role. Frey also showed good instincts on the glass, timing his pursuit of rebounds well and putting himself in position to secure possessions for his team. His ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him a valuable piece and the type of player coaches enjoy having on the floor because he impacts the game in so many different ways.

Made an impact with his play throughout the day on either end of the floor. He showed off his athleticism by playing around the rim. He took advantages of mismatches and bullied smaller opponents. Converted several scoring chances around the bucket and didn’t really look to force shots. Frey plays a physical style of basketball. Big question I have is what is true position, since he is stuck between a two and three but lacks positional size at the scholarship level. Should see his recruitment pickup in the next several months from colleges.
