Boasting teams from all over West Virginia, the ultra-competitive league will also field a long list of the mountain state’s top recruiting targets. From Division I offers to Division III walk ons and all in between, this league will put all on display. Not to mention some of WV’s top high school basketball programs and coaches. This league is a basketball junkies dream. Listed below are some top big school (4A, 3A) prospects that are either on the recruiting radar or already have offers and are participating in the Anderson Court Fall League according to www.wvbluechips.com.
Sharron Young Sharron Young 6’0″ | PG Morgantown | 2024 State #292 Nation WV is West Virginia’s top prep player in the 2024 class. Playing for Morgantown HS, he’ll be worth the $5 at the door to get in the gym to see him. This multi offered Division I prospect will dazzle fans and college coaches alike. If you’re a college coach or just basketball fan, this is a player you don’t want to miss.

D’arrae Goodwin D’arrae Goodwin 6’7″ | SF The Linsly School | 2025 State #190 Nation WV is the top player in the mountain state’s 2025 class and a top five player overall in WV currently. Goodwin boasting a handful of Division I offers will be featured on the Linsly Academy roster this season. Goodwin is a strong and quick player who can easily transition between a wing and stretch 4 type player.
Caleb Thomas Caleb Thomas 6’6″ | PF Spring Mills | 2025 State WV is one of West Virginia’s emerging players. Another 2025 stud, Thomas has shown a plethora of skills and talent on both ends all spring and summer and continues at Anderson Court Fall League. Comfortable facing up and putting it on the bounce, Thomas is also an established post player and elite shot blocker standing at a solid 6’6″. The Spring Mills High School product is entering his junior season with many high school basketball media folks just now hearing about the eastern panhandle prospect.
Cole Joy Cole Joy 6’1″ | CG Parkersburg South | 2024 State WV might be the most obscure of this group, but the Parkersburg South hooper will get center stage with WV BlueChips fall league team. Joy who’s been a role player for the PSHS team thus far will likely emerge as their most versatile and valuable player in the upcoming season. the 6’1″ guard can give you a double double and it can be in 2 of four different categories. Versatile, athletic and saavy best describes this prospect with the attention of DIII coaches already.
Zyon Hawthorne Zyon Hawthorne 6’0″ | CG Woodrow Wilson | 2026 State WV is an emerging 2026 point guard with an early D1 offer from Radford. Hawthorne will be one of the floor leaders for the Beckley Flying Eagles this season providing a well-balanced skill set for a young player. Hawthorne’s Beckley team is likely stacked with multiple college prospects and will be a squad to make a point to watch.
Rylee Dickerson Rylee Dickerson 5’11” | CG Robert C. Byrd | 2026 State WV from Robert C. Byrd High School in Clarksburg WV caught our eye in Myrtle Beach at the Big Shots Live Event this past July. The six footish guard slashes and dashes all over the court and looks smooth and comfortable with the ball in his hands. This 2026 prospect should be one of RCB’s top scorers in WV’s AAA division.
Landon Sanders Landon Sanders 6’1″ | PG Bridgeport | 2025 State WV is one of the top returning players on the Bridgeport High School roster and will look to turn heads in the upcoming fall league. While starring for Big Shots WV Reign Elite, Sanders earned several accolades from the Big Shots Organization scouts. A disciplined and talented guard, Sanders will emerge as one of NCWV’s top guards this season.

Demarcus Bandy Demarcus Bandy 6’0″ | CG University | 2025 State WV is one of the best kept secrets in the 2025 class. The smooth athletic guard had quite an off season garnering lots of accolades and attention while on the WV Gold roster as well as being on the US Basketball Games roster in Atlanta Ga. in August.
Griffin Boggs Griffin Boggs 6’5″ | SF Elkins | 2024 State WV will be an intriguing prospect for many coaches this season. Likely to be the lead horse for the Elkins High School club, Boggs has recently got on a couple D3 shortlists. The long 6’5″ framed Boggs has a well balanced skill set including a capable shooting range.
Anthony Owunna Anthony Owunna 6’4″ | SF Martinsburg | 2025 State WV has quickly emerged as Martinsburg High School’s top “Dog”. Owunna has had an excellent offseason and should soon be on the radar of several college coaches. At 6’3″ he’s a long athletic guard that are often coveted by college programs of every level.
