Another state champion, Taylor has steadily seen his stock rise this winter. At the college level many players see their roles shrink, they need to figure out how to impact the game without dominating the ball and playing next to other great players. For Taylor, that adjustment should be easy for him. A guy who has played next to Michigan State commit

at Lutheran East, Taylor’s job was to sit in the corner and knock down catch and shoot 3’s when the defense helped off him. Also able to attack a closeout and provide value as a defender, Taylor should play the exact same role at the next level. One of the top unsigned players in Ohio’s 2024 class, Taylor has received interest from NAIA’s and holds a pair of offers.

Playing on a team with Michigan State commit Jesse McCulloch, Taylor flies under the radar but had a huge senior season. The lefty is an excellent 3-and-D wing, something that’s highly valued at the college level. Already a state champion as a junior off the bench, Taylor has blossomed into a star role for the Falcons and earned NAIA offers in the process.

One of the bigger risers as a senior, Taylor continues to show up in big games and provide value as a 3-and-D wing. The lefty has a smooth stroke and plays well off drive and kicks, especially in the corners. Another prospect that should get a ton of JUCO interest due to his size, shooting and defensive upside. I wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor eventually finds himself as a Division I player or at a high-level Division II a couple years from now. Lutheran East is looking to make another state title push and Taylor is a big part of that. He’ll be a riser in our final 2024 rankings update after the state playoffs conclude.

Not sure how many kids knock down seven 3-pointers against a defending state champion but Taylor did that on Saturday against Louisiana powerhouse Isidore Newman. Taylor has been a steady stock riser throughout this season and continued to show why he’s such an intriguing talent. Definitely worthy of making another rankings leap during our next update, Taylor has a chance to be a big-time college role piece with his size, athleticism and most importantly outside shooting ability.

Having a big season as a 3-and-D wing for one of the top teams in the state, Taylor has established himself as an elite shooter. With his size, shooting ability and length, Taylor is what a lot of college programs are looking for from the wing position. I expect scholarship and JUCO programs to make Taylor a high priority as Lutheran East plays in a bunch of marquee events to allow college coaches to check out his talents.

Taylor caught fire on Saturday, knocking down numerus 3-pointers from the corner including a dagger with about a minute to play. Taylor looks like he’s grown an inch since I last watched him and has the length to be an impact defender at the next level. Scholarship programs should take a look at Taylor, who would be a steal for a Division III program if they were able to sign him.

Lutheran East is one of the deepest teams in the state and Taylor is carving out a nice role for them with his toughness, defensive ability and how he makes shots from the outside. The lefty doesn’t get a ton of shots with the other stars on the team but Taylor can space the floor and is ready to shoot when he’s left open. I think in a more expanded role next season you could see Taylor surprise some people with what he’s capable of showing. Excited to continue to monitor his development this summer and next winter.

Taylor’s another prospect who makes this list from the Marshall Warriors 16 U group. This team competed on both ends and Taylor’s athleticism and motor stood out to me whenever I watched him play. I haven’t gotten to see too much of his offensive skill so far, but am excited to continue to monitor Taylor’s development this winter for a state title contender in Lutheran East. Taylor is a prospect I wouldn’t be stunned if he makes a big jump in the next year or so and winds up higher in the rankings when it’s all said and done.
