Hill was the most productive player for Lutheran East and made some clutch plays throughout the game for the Falcons. Hill knocked down a big 3-pointer to give Lutheran east the lead with a minute left. Earlier in the fourth quarter Hill had a sweet kickout to Ty Harrison Ty Harrison 5'9" | PG Lutheran East | 2027 State OH for another clutch 3-pointer. Defensively, Hill did a nice job on Maysville’s guards and had a couple steals that led to buckets. While Lutheran East’s unbeaten season came to an end, Hill was a clear standout in front of a crazy crowd. 

In the game of the weekend at the 5 C’s Classic, Hill was sensational in the second half with some clutch buckets to help Lutheran East secure their second victory over a top central Ohio team this season at a neutral site event. Hill hit the game-winning mid-range shot with 7 seconds left on the clock despite losing the basketball on his drive. Those were the types of plays he was making all second half as Hill was able to get to the rim attacking left or hit a mid-range pull-up. One of the top defensive guards in Ohio, Hill loved the physicality that was brought by both teams in a battle of reigning state champions.

One of the top defensive guards in Ohio, Hill was getting after it on the defensive end of the court with tremendous on-ball pressure. Hill also won the game with a steal as a help side defender on a drive from a Canton McKinley guard. Taking charges as well, Hill puts his body on the line for his team. Hoping to see Hill continue to gain confidence as a spot-up shooter and secondary distributor in the half-court this winter with a loaded Lutheran East squad.

Lutheran East guards straight up get after it defensively as Hill and Ty Harrison Ty Harrison 5'9" | PG Lutheran East | 2027 State OH ‘s ball pressure were forcing turnovers left and right. Hill is excellent at turning defense into offense as his steals usually lead to transition layup opportunities at the other end of the floor. Hill was also efficient as a finisher at the rim with a couple strong two-foot layups. If you are playing Lutheran East and don’t have the required ball handlers to handle their pressure, you are going to be in for a long night thanks to guards like Hill who defend with a different level of intensity.

One of the best defensive point guards in Ohio, Hill had four steals and led the game with seven assists as well. If you want an old school point guard, look no further than Hill. With his ability to get to the lane, Hill did a nice job of feeding his bigs and cutters with on time passes to score in the paint. Add in the swarming defense and a couple floaters at the rim and Hill had a complete performance that you’d expect out of a senior floor general, not a Sophomore. On a young team that has now won three state titles in a row, only Hill and Tj Crumble Tj Crumble 6'8" | PF Long Island Lutheran | 2026 State #173 Nation NY had state championship experience heading into the game. That experience showed as Hill made big plays at both ends and Crumble had some monster putback layups.

I’ve now seen the Falcons three times this season and this was Hill’s most impactful game of the year. Hill is an elite on-ball defender with the ability to really bother opposing ball handlers. Defensively Hill blocked a 3-pointer, took a charge and got a steal when the Falcons went to a full court press when trailing late. As an offensive player, Hill scores it best when he’s getting to the rim and either finishing with his left or getting fouled. Lutheran East will go as far as their defense takes them in the postseason and Hill is one of their key players on that end of the court.

Hill constantly finds his way to get in the paint when on the attack. Hill had all 10 of his points in the 2nd half. He has great touch around the basket and converts inside often. He was able to throw lobs to his teammates. He used his quickness to be in passing lanes.

After starting as a freshman for the Falcons, Hill has become one of the more experienced pieces for Lutheran East despite his age. Hill is a tough defender and that’s the side of the court where he really shines. Active in passing lanes, on the ball and as a help-side defender, Hill is advanced for a sophomore defensively. Offensively, he did a nice job of picking his spots to attack and when he made a move Hill was decisive off the dribble. Hill and Ty Harrison Ty Harrison 5'9" | PG Lutheran East | 2027 State OH have formed a nice 2027 combo either sharing the court or taking on floor general responsibilities when the other takes a breather.
