Boyd has been one of the most surprising early-season producers in the conference, stepping into a go-to scoring role for Smoky Hill. To start the season, he’s averaging 16.5 points, and he’s consistently found ways to score at all three levels. His 27-point outburst against Kent Denver turned heads. When we’ve seen him, he has had athletic finishes and has made his shots. Smoky Hill has struggled to find its footing, but Boyd has been a bright spot.
