Fleck steps into a major role as Smoky Hill’s steadying presence at guard. He’ll be asked to run the offense, relieve pressure from younger guards, and knock down timely shots. He’s shown he can score in bunches and be a pest defensively, but the margin for error is slim, so he will have to be even better. The team will look to him for veteran decision-making and ball security. His leadership will define his season. I expect him to quietly turn heads as a steady presence for the Buffaloes.

Fleck was a player who stood out to me in multiple games as he did a bit of everything for Anarchy this weekend. He stands out when he is in the zone as he’s a pest defensively, and his work on that end of the floor got his teammates involved. He’s the team’s emotional leader, and he uses his speed to get to where he wants. He had some blow-by finishes at the basket, knocked down a few open 3’s, and made defenses key in on him. He was a player who was not ranked heading into the weekend, but will surely be on our list with his play from this weekend. Excited to see what Cordell can do if he fully commits to it, and hopefully that starts now.
