Duncan is a player that we’ve seen in the past but wanted another look at after he first caught my attention, and his summer helped fill in some of the blanks. Initially, it was his confidence creating off the bounce and letting it fly from three that stood out for me in grassroots but we watched different games from him and he started to show a bit more to his game. He’s very explosive and quick at the PG spot and that makes him dangerous. He rebounds well for his size and can go coast to coast, he creates for others once he gets inside of the defense and can score in bunches. He isn’t only a scorer however and we saw that when he got out to the showcase. His defense can be a way for him to get started as he’s active with his hands and beats guys to the spot. His versatility should allow him to be one of Vista Peak’s main guys this upcoming season and he’s earned his first spot in the rankings. We want to see that translate to varsity this year and he should certainly be a riser this next go round. 

Duncan had himself a day and finished with a performance that put him firmly on our radar. He showed no hesitation getting off his shot from deep, but it was his ability to create off the bounce that really opened things up. Duncan repeatedly got defenders leaning and found ways to turn the corner, creating scoring chances when he had the ball in his hands. He played with confidence and wasn’t afraid to call for the ball when his team needed offense. His final game was his strongest run of the event giving us plenty to build on moving forward and wanting to see more

Duncan put together a strong performance on Day 2 by contributing in every phase of the game. He was active on the boards, limiting second chance opportunities while securing rebounds for his team. Duncan also showed excellent court vision, pushing the pace in transition and creating scoring opportunities for teammates with timely passes. Defensively, he played with discipline and used good footwork to stay in front of his matchup. On the offensive end, he attacked the basket aggressively, drew contact and was able to get to the free throw line, showing his ability to impact the game on both ends.

Duncan, a young prospect with good upside, impressed with his length and athletic bounce attacking off the dribble. He played with good energy, getting downhill and also showed nice vision as a passer, consistently looking to make the right play and find open teammates.

Duncan’s athleticism was on display at the event. His explosive first step got him by defenders with ease, and he used his body well to finish creatively around the rim. He got out in transition and used that athleticism to get some tough finishes. What stood out was how he played in 5s as he showed he can be a weapon in both the open floor and half-court sets. He’s a quick guard who knows how to get to his spot.

Kaiden is a slashing guard who often caught defenders off guard with his quick and surprising moves. His ability to exploit lapses in defensive focus made him a constant threat.
