The Centennial State Cup was this weekend and we got to get our eyes on new prospects that we either have not seen too much of or in this setting so it was great to see players who impact the game in multiple ways.

Use code dev30 for 30% off and secure access as we're going through rankings and got you covered for the grassroots season. He was finishing inside; he used that size for finishes with both hands and set solid screens as well. He had some moments where the touch was off, and he impacted the game in various ways, but when he was able to finish, they became a very dangerous team. RTS Choice relied on him to do his work down lo,w and what stood out for me was his positioning. He was at the right spot down low, secured big rebounds, and showed his strength not he block. I did not know much about him, but I am certainly high on him heading out of the event and was to see more as he stepped out and shot the 3 ball as well, which shows confidence in that part of his game. In a game against another talented big is when he was at his best, and that is why my interest in him is so high. We hope to see more of him and for him to get out to more events as there's truly something there.

Ben Hay had some flashes this weekend for RTS Choice as a new name that jumped on the radar with his play. In multiple games, he was very active defensively, he got out in transition and ran down loose balls, and was turning those plays into scoring opportunities. He was moving all around the court and making plays happen, and that led to baskets for his team. Hay is constantly moving, he slashes when he's supposed to and keeps the offense going. He's a glue guy to get more eyes on.

Nobles is a player we've seen play before, but he had some highlight moments throughout the weekend where he could not be contained. He was attacking the paint and getting into the teeth of the defense and working the middle. He hit mid-range shots as well and was very fluid. He broke defenders down off the dribble, was great in iso situations, and demanded the double team. He has great feel and reads the court, and unsure if anyone got to the basket as easily as he did. I liked his game all weekend.

Zion is a player who stood out for me with Hardwood Nation as he has good size and had moments at the Centennial State Cup where he flashed. He grabbed rebounds, finished inside, and can shoot the 3-ball, which speaks to his versatility. Each game, it seemed like a new part of his game opened up. He kept the ball high on rebounds, kicked it to the open man, and also stepped over and helped protect the paint as well. He had a few blocks, and there are clearly intangibles there of a player who has breakout potential. He's a new name that stood out, and we have to see more of him. Solid weekend for him.

Cordell is a player who just plays with passion every single time that we see him, and that does not go unnoticed. He gets back on defense, he's looking to make plays happen on that end of the floor, and he is a contagious defender for DBA Elite. He uses his speed and athleticism to get to where he wants, and they allow him to play free there. Even when he makes a mistake, he goes and gets it back, and that stands out in a tournament where there are multiple games in one day. Fleck gets to the rim. takes open shots when they're given to him and impacts the game in multiple ways.

Pruitt was one of the more aggressive players on the weekend as a bully ball wing that knew he had a mismatch and let it be known. Once he got the switch, he sealed and went through smaller guys. He also was going over the top of bigger defenders as well and either finished or got to the FT line. He was hitting baseline floaters, shooting the mid-range, and was a bullish finisher down low. Defensively, he also made some plays as he was an assertive defender who got some rips in the open court, got his hands on a few steals down low, and also used his strength. I am very curious about him and wonder how he's staying under the radar if this was truly him wearing No. 21 this weekend. Solid prospect.

The Centennial State Cup was this weekend and we got to get our eyes on new prospects that we either have not seen too much of or in this setting so it was great to see players who impact the game in multiple ways.
