— a young and productive wing that provided value as an excellent complimentary piece for this year’s Montgomery group. Scoring the basketball with extreme confidence and impressive efficiency, SImborski attacked closeouts aggressively, driving to the paint for tough and crafty finishes around the basket ultimately showcasing sharp footwork and a soft touch around the rim from multiple angles in traffic. Beyond his consistent paint touches, Simborski also demonstrated a smooth shooting stroke—knocking down open catch and shoot looks from three point range and even creating space off the dribble to demonstrate his ability to be a shooter that is capable of knocking down shots off the bounce. As the season wained, Simborski was also equally impactful on the defensive end of the floor, reading passing lanes with keen anticipation and quick hands, creating turnovers and converting them into above the rim finishes on the other end.

Already a breakout star across the state this winter, Simborski continued his standout season with a career-high 27 points to steer the win. He shined with remarkable efficiency, needing just 16 shot attempts and showing an advanced sense for generating his offense within the flow of the game. The sophomore guard showed craft while attacking off the bounce before finishing with a soft touch along with burgeoning strength and athleticism near the rim. He also moved well off the ball to shake loose for a trio of makes from beyond the arc. Simborski is continuously putting himself on the radar as a surefire scholarship-level prospect with a chance to generate high-academic D1 attention down the line with further development.

One of the fastest-rising sophomores in the state, Simborski continued his ascent despite the loss with a remarkably efficient 24-point outing. A natural scorer with positional versatility across the perimeter, Simborski shows ability to score at each level of the floor from an impressively wide variety of actions whether operating on or off the ball. He’s a smart and active off-ball mover as both a cutter and floor-spacer with the ball skills and passing vision that suggest further on-ball upside to tap into over time. He continues to look more and more the part of a future D1 prospect seemingly by the day.

A returning all-league performer, Simborski had as impressive a performance as any underclassman we saw, putting together a productive and well-rounded outing while nearly completing a thrilling comeback against St. Mary’s. He came out aggressive as a straight-line driver while showing impressive pace, footwork, and touch in the lane. Simborski showed soft touch on a handful of catch-and-shoot attempts from the perimeter, staying active off the ball before taking over later on as a primary ballhandler in the halfcourt with clear IQ as a facilitator. While a bit unsuspecting physically and athletically, Simborski’s well-rounded skill level and IQ bode well for his long-term projection as a scholarship-level wing guard.
