Rillstone, a forward out of the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #77. Rillstone joined the NMH squad this fall and has quickly made an impact on the hardwood. The 6’7″ forward has a solid frame and plays with a good understanding of his strengths. He gets to his spots as a low post scorer, is an aggressive two-way rebounder, and does a nice job of operating as a roller or pop guy out of screens. He plays with a good motor, is vocal on the defensive end of the floor, and consistently makes the right play offensively.

A native of New Zealand who’s spent the past couple seasons in Virginia, Rillstone was instrumental in establishing NMH early on the way to a first round win over Millbrook (NY). The wing forward stood out with his blend of size and fluidity, particularly in the open floor. He streaked down court for a number of transition finishes with impressive body control and athleticism near the rim. He’s flown a bit under the radar but could be a sneaky late option for scholarship-level programs looking for help on the wing.

Well put together wing, skilled versatile prospect, who is loaded with upside, Merrick Rillstone Merrick Rillstone 6'7" | PF Northfield Mount Hermon | 2026 State New E impressed with his two-way potential. He rebounded actively, ran the floor with purpose, and showed the ability to finish above the rim with bounce. Offensively, Merrick is comfortable spotting up beyond the arc and has the speed to push the ball coast-to-coast. Defensively, he moved his feet well on the perimeter and showed flashes of being a versatile stopper. With three-level scoring upside and a high motor, Rillstone’s ceiling continues to rise.

and Merrick are this team’s two best players, and if you aren’t able to take one of them away, it is almost impossible to beat this team. Merrick had 11 straight points for South Lakes in the 3rd and did it from all over the court. Merrick all year has come up big for this South Lakes team, and I’m interested to see what his Senior season looks like. He finished with 21 points, 19 of them in the second half.

Merrick Rillstone Merrick Rillstone 6'7" | PF Northfield Mount Hermon | 2026 State New E is one of the most underrated players in the state for me. Merrick is fantastic on both ends, and when he’s at his best, he is highly impactful. Merrick is an extremely fluid driver, and at his size, he is usually matched up with bigs that have trouble dealing with his ability to put the ball on the floor. Merrick does a great job contesting shots at the rim, and I’ve seen him meet people at the rim on multiple occasions. Merrick had a handful of great drives against Hayfield, and he, like the rest of this South Lakes team, was fantastic on defense.

Rillstone who started off to a tad slow start in the 1st half was a difference maker in the 2nd half and was one of the main reasons his team was able to get a double digit lead. He showed he could run the floor and finish around the bucket. He was able to convert chances at the foul line.

Merrick Rillstone Merrick Rillstone 6'7" | PF Northfield Mount Hermon | 2026 State New E was outstanding for South Lakes against Patriot. Merrick’s ability to put the ball on the floor puts strain on opposing bigs, and it’s something he cooked with this game. Merrick moves well for his size, and he had a few and 1s. Last year, Merrick didn’t have a role you’d expect from someone as talented as he is. He’s gotten off to a great start this year and showed why he’s such an intriguing prospect going forward.
