About Kaya
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Kaya is primarily playing the Point Guard role. Outside of being very coachable and remaining calm under pressure, he has a good fundamental skill set, and reads the game well with high IQ decisions in the half court. Shooting is a strength of Kaya which he works tirelessly on. Defensively Kaya competes hard and has grown in making defensive decisions playing off/away from the ball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Kaya is a team player who can adapt to environments and conditions that he is put in and under, always remaining very poised, calm and cerebral, playing with a high IQ level. A sound player with a tireless work ethic, working both on and off of the basketball court. He will challenge a coach positively because he is constantly challenging himself and always wanting to get better.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
A typical teenager with very good character, he is fun to be around, hardworking academically (valuing the importance of education) and very trustworthy. Kaya has a good sense of community, understands its importance and the world around him as a result of having attended international schools, and various educational and sports events since an early age across the globe.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Injuries have been a significant part of my life over the past seven years, and I’ve often reflected on how they’ve affected me, both physically and mentally. These experiences taught me that kindness doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. A few genuine words, or even small acts of support, can make a lasting impact on someone’s confidence and outlook on life.
